DeWalt DXAELJ16 1600 Peak Amp Jump Starter Battery Booster with USB Power Station

I previously reviewed this harshly, as it failed to start the car at all. A week later it turns out the battery was actually dead like fully dead. It was pretty old so I probably should have investigated this first. Since I do not like leaving a review in error, especially if its entirely my error, I drained the new battery on purpose, and started it with this DeWalt booster/jumper, and it actually works really well, with no wierd "plug in, wait 15 seconds, then start within 30 seconds or you have to restart the whole process" procedure, and the capacity to start the car several times before requiring a charge. Also it is perhaps of note, as I found while investigating the battery/jump pack relationship this past week, that my car is a V8, which are apprently harder to jump in this manner. With that in mind, the performance of this box is FAR better than the cheap ones. The best one of those I have had lasted 2 winters, still had the wierd procedure requirement, and would only start the car twice on a full charge.

Let my dad borrow mine and had to order him one. Started is Chevy 2500 HD no problem whatsoever. These are great! Compact and work well. Definitely well made to Dewalt standards. They hold a charge for months. I charged mine in December and it still had a full(ish) charge in July. Sat in my truck through different temps although that’s probably not advisable. These are well worth the money. Comes with bag, charging cable wall and 12v car adapters. They couldn’t be any easier to use.

Very well built. The case and cables are robust and durable. Many USB ports for multiple device charging. Easy to use and has been very reliable after 30+ jumps. Charges reasonably fast as well. Great product, would highly recommend.

I expected better from DeWalt, but this 1600 amp charging pack is an absolute joke. I paid over $100 thinking I was getting a quality, reliable jump starter from a trusted brand — big mistake. It stopped working in less than two months, and when I tried to use the warranty, I quickly learned how terrible their support really is. They only allow one repair service, which took almost a month to process, and guess what? It died again barely a month after I got it back. Zero lights on using their provided cable. Worthless. For something priced this high, the reliability and customer service are pathetic. My $20 no-name brand has been working longer and more consistently than this overpriced piece of junk. DeWalt should be embarrassed to put their name on such unreliable garbage. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product entirely. Save your money and buy literally anything else. Zero stars — not worth the frustration or the cost. Avoid this item.

This thing saved a couple stranded on State Road 60, they flagged me down while I was passing by on my motorcycle, didn’t speak a lick of English but kept pointing to the battery, jumped it almost immediately, I won’t ride my bike without this thing

Need a jump but have no one else with a car nearby? This is the answer. Super handy and easy to use. Would recommend! Also compact, so convenient to travel with.

I don't plan to use this on a regular basis but having been caught in a situation where I really needed it, I bought this jump battery after some research. Various choices out there have different advantages, and this cost a little more than some, but it has the juice to start a larger engine than some entry-level models. I've kept it charged for a while now and finally got the opportunity to use it and it fired up a V8 with a really dead battery, no problem. Only minus to this (and probably every other thing available): it says to store it between 40 degrees fondly Fahrenheit and like 70 degrees. Where I live that allows me to keep it in the car about 3 weeks out of the year. Ymmv, I read reviews of people who leave it in the car year round and they said it still worked. I store it in the house outside of that temperature range and take it with me if I think it could be needed, I recharge it about every couple months. It's a neat accessory to charge other stuff as well. I like it

It a great battery jumper and it great for charging stuff to and it also great for you boat or kayaks or again you need to jump or charge . Easy to store or carry to .

handy product. Nice and compact. Way better then using someone else's car and having to carry jumper cables. Started the battery in my rav 4 that had run down after a couple of months not in use. bought as a failsafe for my EV in case the little battery is dead. (the 12 v battery starts the big one)

El producto en si si funciona. Lo que siempre es un desastre es la bolsa que dannpara que metas la pila los cables y sus cargadores y esta fatal el acomodo de las cosas dentro de una bolsa. El manual como lo puedo meter en la bolsa con las demas cosas. De cerdad dewalt a esta fecha sigue vendiendo sus productos en bolsas de mercado. Si que me datia verguenza si fuera dewalt
