ManCave Caffeine Shave Gel 125ml - Vegan

I've been meaning to try this for ages, as I've been using King of shaves gel for many years, but interested to see what Mancaves' gel was like. I was unable to find a KOS refill pouch for a reasonable price so it was an ideal opportunity to give this a go. I've been using Mancave products for a while as I really like the brand and their products. I use their shower wash, body scrub, shampooe & conditioner, moisturising face cleansers and face creams. The shaving gel has a pleasant smell and it is deep turquoise blue in colour. Applying it to the skin is easy and comfortable. Whilst it's not a clear gel, when applied it only creates a small amount of lather and it's still easy to shave and shape my latin beard shaping with ease. It's good for my sensitive skin, causing me no issues. Performance wise, after several weeks of shaving with it, I've decided it's good, but not as good as KOS. The shave doesn't feel quite as close and the finish not quite as silky and smooth as I prefer or I'm used to. I don't regret buying it as it is very reasonable in price and its a suitable alternative when required. I'll use it again but think I might use it on travelling weekends away, or as a backup as required when my KOS runs out, or just for a change every now and then. Happy to recommend 🙂

I use nearly all of the Mancave range and the shave gel was the one that really took my a while to get used to. Once I did though I’ve never looked back. You only need a very small amount as it goes a long way so the bottle lasts for ages. It’s none foaming but very good lubrication on the skin, providing an effortless glide-through shave. It also smells good, rinses easily, doesn’t clog the razor blade and leaves skin feeling soft and refreshing. The calming addition of caffeine ensures there’s no razor burn at all. A serious contender in men’s shaving products.

It is not shaving gel as I imagined it to be. It is a clear gel so you do not get the white soapy coating on your face. It works OK but is invisible so you cannot see where you have shaved.

Into my second year of using the man cave range and this shave gel. A small pea size amount is adequate, so it lasts ages. It doesn’t lather up like some, but it does lubricate really well, so a quick and easy shave, just be aware it’s not like using shaving foam / gel from other popular brands. Recommended.

It does the job and is usable with a good fragrance and smooth result. However I found that it clogged the blade up a little and was not so good for the razor. It is a little too sticky and gets stuck in the blades which i am sure must lessen the life of the blade. It is a good product bar that so if you use disposable blade that are a little cheaper than the ones i do it may be just the ticket
