Developing Cutting Skills: Stages 1-3, Grade PreK Paperback – March 1, 2012

Pro:There are so many cutting skills books out there. But this is the only one I have found that makes developmental sense. The other books might have cute pictures, but the cutting skills are randomly placed. This teaches children to cut on a line, which they would need to learn before progressing to any of the other cutting skills books.Cons:The book is black and white, which is not so exciting for a 3–4-year-old, on thin/typical paper (thicker is easier for cutting and starts with very thin lines. It would be helpful if the snipping/short lines were thicker at the start.

This is a the best book I have seen for the correct progression of learning the skills of cutting. I actually copied the pages onto cardstock to assist my students in learning how to hold the paper while cutting.
