There are better options out there...
I didn't care for this grater. I bought it to replace my Progressive Rotary Grater because the handle kept falling off, until I duct taped it back on. But the Verona Summer grater is no match. Its handle also falls off, its cheese shoot is smaller, and the blades aren't as sharp.I'm no grater expert, but I did play one on TV. I considered several other graters before picking this one. The Zyliss is the obvious choice since it is used by many restaurants, but it doesn't have the all important slicer drum. I slice a lot of Grana Padano since Trader Joe's took it off the shelves, and you need a good sharp slicing drum for that. The Ikea Stralande grater is also a favorite, but again lacks the slicer, also some assembly is required. I briefly considered the Gourmia GSS9620 but I found the cucumber picture a bit insulting. The KitchenAid Gourmet grater was a top contender, but I couldn't get past what 'lifetime limited warranty' means. Who's lifetime, and what limitations? Also, it's reportedly hard to clean, and I don't need that. The metal graters had instructions on how to use a magnet to get the metal shavings out of your cheese, and I didn't care for that idea. Although, I am impressed that the Kitchenati grater comes with a mini hara-kiri knife for when things didn't work out well.As for gifts the Westmark Rotary Grater would seem the right choice for the space cadet of the family, but I think we landed one of these on Mars with dubious results. Perhaps it is best to wait and see what Elon Musk comes up with. As a wedding gift the Gratiator by Peleg is the obvious choice. The blessed couple will surely think of you every time they grate cheese. In the end I decided to buy another Progressive International Rotary Grater and more duct tape. Somewhat Disappointed
I have only used this grater once to grate parmigiana cheese. I was able to grate the cheese after some effort. I was afraid to apply too much pressure for fear it would break. It is easy to clean and will probably work better o softer cheeses.

Handy for smaller amounts to shred.
Great shredder for smaller needs! Bought to avoid fillers in pre shredded cheese. Used it to shred cheddar and asiago. I cut about a 2" square of cheese to shred. Plastic is a bit flimsy but as long as you dont overload shredder works great!

Cleaning is very easy and fast
This is my new "go to" gadget in the kitchen.I've put this baby through so much (boiled eggs, carrots, tomatoes, beets, chocolate, cucumbers and of course... tons of cheese! )That I think there's no food that this grater/slicer can't take.Cleaning is very easy and fast. Also it has the perfect size for my tiny kitchen (Sorry, bulky electric Food Processor, we may not see each other in a while) Botton line...Thumps Up!

Really happy with this.
I’ve wanted one of these for years! Finally bought myself one and I’m so happy with it. Hopefully it will last.

Works but could be built better
It works as intended but feels like it might break eventually. It's not very sturdy. I like it though

Works fine but feels cheap.
Does the job of grating cheese just fine but it does fell a little cheap in your hand.
