It's an XLR cable, and honestly, the best review is the most boring one: it works. I bought this for studio recording, and it's completely noise-free. The nylon braiding is actually a nice touch—it feels durable and makes the cable flexible enough that it doesn't fight you when you're wrapping it up or routing it around a desk. Cable looks and feels amazing - it's very soft and bendable and doesn't fight back at all when you shape it. Would work very well if you want to set up a tight cable channel. Just be mindful of any sharp edges around your setup - my mic arm is a bit sharp at the beginning of the cable channel and the cloth wears off at that spot, leaving black dust on my table. If the cable is gonna be moving a lot and rubbing on stuff, maybe rubber is a better choice.
