But likewise, it’s no secret that he recorded a vast selection of music during the same period. Much of this material has been released posthumously, beginning with the rather brilliant Cry Of Love LP, released in 1971 and containing tracks Hendrix was working on at the time of his death, intended as his fourth studio album.
