Be Wary of Expired Stock
Like a review of a different version of this, the product that arrived appears to have expired, it was not a cream but hard as soap (does appear to have maybe been a cream at one point).I hope the smell is better before this also, because I have no idea what this scent was. I usually get Sandalwood (Taylors of Bond Street), but fancied a change and also love vanilla, but this smelt.. well wrong is the best way to describe it.Pity as I liked the idea! Have returned as defective and will stick to Taylors for another batch.

I can see why some other reviews complain about the hardness as it does say it's a cream. That said if you treat it as a soft soap it lathers really well and it also has a pleasant fragrance. I like it but it's not a cream (at least the one I have isn't).

I don't trust this........
Received in contents of a multi brand advent calendar. The contents looked like they had been previously used and returned or a sample of some kind, with what looks like a finger indent and shaving brush brush markings.See attached photo of contents on first opening. I would have expected some kind of foil seal and it to look somewhat smoother.Can anyone advise if this is how its supposed to look?? Something just doesn't ring true and so I have refused to use it.

Received my product in pristine condition. Great service overall.
Lather up a small amount of shaving cream using a quality shaving brush with hot water and apply to face. Using a new blade, shave in the direction of beard growth. To increase slip, add more water. For a closer shave, gently shave across the grain. To finish, rinse with cold water and pat dry.\n\n
