The IT Newbie: The Adventures of Selben and Soda

I’ve followed Selben for a while on reddit and only just got around to buying his book. I really enjoyed it! The writing is excellent and while I won’t pretend I understood everything, I still had a lot of fun reading it! Looking forward to the next one!

Taken and re-formatted from his Reddit stories. The stories are both funny and well written but you can get them for free on reddit. I'm happy to support him with the kindle edition but couldn't justify the physical one.

In "The IT Newbie" erzählt uns Selben wie es im Hintergrund großer Unternehmen in der IT voran geht.Es geht hierbei nicht um theoretische langweilige Themen und Abläufe sondern um echte Geschehnisse.Die "intellektuellen" menschliche Aspekte, Rafinesse, Admiration und Freundschaft runden das ganze mit einem gewissen Hauch von Humor ab.Das Buch kann ich jedem nur empfehlen, egal ob man versiert in IT ist oder nicht.

The book takes some of the best stories from selbens early tech career and presents them in a nicer way than reddit.Worth buying if you read his stories a while ago.

I have to say, each story is very entertaining! The author has a true gift of telling humourous stories that will get you laughing out loud!

Definitely the most relatable IT book I've ever read. Pretty much every story reminded me of an experience I had when first starting out in IT. Can't wait for part 2!

If you like funny, suspensful and sometimes horrific stories from the IT world, this is a good start

I originally read this tale on Reddit, but reading it again was a treat. It was like living through it the first time. If you're interested in IT at all, please read this book!

Great book for kids and adults that enjoy computers.

A short but wonderful tale of a boy and his mentor, saving a company from stupid IT mistakes. This book comes with it all hope, mystery, betrayal, and best of all friendship.

Fun read for those interested in IT in any capacity. Look forward to the rest!

Written by someone who is clearly in the IT industry, but with the ability to effectively communicate (subtle dig at IT stereotypes).

I loved reading through the adventures. A great story and excellent writting.
