Great for smaller wire--must removed insulation--minimal water resistant not waterproof
These work as required, but are cheaply made. The quick splice connectors require the insulation to be skinned at contact point. The suitcase splice will not cut insulation---not sharp enough. Connectors use blade that has to be centered in the insulated cover of connector at times to connect. They connect securely but not sure if they would last it connections were disconnected and reconnected regularly. If application is one use and in dry area, they work as advertised. If you need heavy duty connections or more than one use I do not recommend these. They are very cheaply made.

work great for what I was work on very easy to use.

Good quality, spade crimp is excellent
One thing I've noticed in these kinds of connectors is that the crimp of the spade is a weak point. These have a flared tube so that the insulation is grabbed differently than the wire, leading to a more secure crimp, especially for smaller-gauge wires.

Excellent product
My utility trailer and my garage door opener with battery backup have Spade connections. I use this product to splice into the wire and add a quick disconnect for a trickle charger to maintain the batteries monthly. Great product highly recommend to have in your toolbox.

Worked after I manually stripped the wire
I decided to try these to tap into my backup camera for my vehicle and wire it to the new stereo I installed. Here is my experience: There were no instructions included. It is pretty self explanatory though. The wire was pretty small so I used the red taps (the smallest ones) I snapped them on and wired everything up. NOTHING happened. No signal, nothing. I started to question if I had the correct wires hooked up. I double checked that I installed with a quick google search. Sure enough I did everything fine. After an hour of messing around and reading I gave up. Later I took off the tap and looked at the wire. Sure enough the insulation had not been penetrated on the wire! It was compressed, but no wire was exposed. I used my fingernail (I recommend a sharp knife) and scraped away the insulation that had been squished by the tap. I reconnected the taps and amazingly everything worked! My thoughts? Definitely easier than soldering. I did not want to bring a hot solder iron into my car. I would melt the dash :D. It was not as easy as it should have been. Perhaps the gauge of the wire was a little too small? There seems to be a pretty fine line between cutting through the insulation and possibly severing some wire strands.I could just as easily expose some of the wire, twist it together, and use electrical tape. Based on this experience, the ONLY reason I would see myself using these again is the convenience of being able to plug/unplug them. I'll try them on a thicker wire, but I have already lost trust that they will make a true connection the first time I hook them up.

So ease to use. I bought two sets.
Just tap into one wire and the kit comes with spade connectors to slide in the slot to connect the second wire. So easy to use. the important part is to use the right size for the wire you are tapping. Too large and it will not have a good connection. too small and you might actually cut the wire in half or really weaken it. use a test light or ohm meter to check the connection before closing it up.
