I purchased this as my long haired dachshund has gotten older, in wet fall weather the backs of his forearms n butox seem to get clumpy and matted from rain, mud, cedar leafs, and other debri. The de-matting tool helped alot with gently removing it, leaving a smooth coat. The fine tooth comb worked wonders on his back n finer haired areas and he loves it. As he sheds it also seems to collect hair on the comb meaning I don't have a huge mess to clean up. The handles are sturdy and combs were gentle on my babies skin. For my little furbaby this has been super helpful and he loves the attention and time we have together while I brush him!

Nice set for the price. I only gave it four stars because the comb could be a little sturdier. I have a fidgety doodle who dislikes being groomed, so as I tried to run the comb through part of her unmatted beard, she jerked her head and I could feel the comb give a bit. Thankfully I have a nice set of grooming implements in case the comb doesn't last. But the dematting brush is a perfect size for my arthritic fingers and working smaller areas and face.

Both of these work very well, for pain-free combing and undoing knots. So glad I bought these!

This set is super expensive for what it is. The de matting rake does not work at all, and the other tool is just a comb.

This comb set for detangling mats was disappointing. It would be ok for normal grooming but my rescue dog has deep matting so this set didn’t help much. The rake didn’t separate the mats and the comb pulled at each tangle causing my dog discomfort. I haven’t discovered a good comb/tool for mats so I am going to get her shaved instead.

This comb worked great on my long hair cat and the fine side was even fine enough to use as a flea comb! It also worked well on my german shepard for to deshed her!

Love that this kit comes in a case. There’s a few cats that have let me try this on them. There’s a neighborhood cat with long matted fur. She is so affectionate, such a love. I tried the comb for matting on her. It was tricky because she won’t sit still. But, she didn’t mind the tool and let me get through her back legs. My daughters cat is an outdoor cat, I used the wide tooth comb on him and he loved it. If I stopped combing him, he rubbed against it himself. In the pictures is my indoor cat, Buddy. Buddy can sometimes be sensitive with grooming tools. I tried the wide tooth on him and he was ok with it. Then, I decided to use the flea comb to make sure he is flea free. To my surprise, he actually seemed to like it. So, overall, at this house, this kit is an absolute win!
