Just what I needed

So, by my tests, it does do what it promises to do. There's a working outlet, Two USB As, a flashlight.The build quality is poor, and the instructions have lots of mistakes.When you turn it on, you can hear the electric buzz of the inverter immediately kick on. This is fine if you're using it as an outlet, but if you just want USB and/or flashlight, it's either doing nothing, or worse, it's converting the DC into AC then back into DC for the USB+Flashlight wasting a lot of energy and generating a lot of heat. All electronics dislike heat, especially inverters, batteries, and LEDs, which this is all 3.After merely 10 minutes in a 69 degree room, the front reflector of the LED is very warm, indicating the battery life of the LED is probably going to be short. The LED is a single super bright LED.The color of the housing is greener than Ryobi's, which is more yellow. Honestly, it looks better, but it'll bother people who want things to match.If you don't need an inverter, I would advise getting one that's just the LED & USBs. If you need an inverter, this is probably about the same as any other option.

I am actually pretty impressed by this little power inverter! Paired with a fully charged 4 AH 18V ryboi battery, this will easily bring several full charges to your cell phone, power your laptop for about a couple hours and similar for any of your other small devices. It would even power a small fan, or a lamp with an LED bulb. This is great for camping and power outages, I even used it to power a resmed CPAP machine for over 6 hrs on a single battery/charge. During my testing I did not have the heat on the machine (not for the tank nor the tube), I expect greater drainage of battery life if those were on. It has a built in light activated by the separate red button and it provided adequate directional lighting to see what you are doing (it won't light up a hole room). My favorite feature is the primary button. When you push it to turn the unit on, it is backlit green. This serves a few purposes, firstly it confirms the unit is on and working, it helps you find it later in a dark room with reduced fumbling, and it's actually an indicator of the battery life. It remains green until the battery gets down to about 1/4 life remaining, then it illuminates red instead. I love that, because it's plenty enough warning to alert you to the idea that you will need to change batteries soon (before it's too late)! I'm very happy with this thing. In the event of a power outage, let those ryobi batteries of yours serve a secondary purpose and provide crucial help during a difficult situation! It's an item well worth it - in all aspects!
