I am known to be quite hard on irons - 17 in a 30 year marriage is perhaps excessive - so this one has a lot to live up to. So far, and it is put through its paces each week, it is living up to the challenge. It glides nicely, has a larger plate than the last so makes the job quicker, steam is effective so cuts through the creases easily and is not heavy on water needs either. Last one spent so much time spitting water on the clothes there was little left to make steam with - this one works perfectly.

The iron is good value but even in maximum does not get very hot

Excellent iron, light to lift, heated quickly, so far great durability, cord length ok ,steam fantastic. Colour lovely too

Nice looking iron which feels light to hold & glides well over clothes BUT it's not for me. The cord is too short & I'm continually adjusting it so that I can run the iron along the length of my ironing board. It's also incredibly fiddly & inconvenient in how you top up the water. Normally I can pour straight from the ironing water bottle but the chamber opens with a very narrow aperture & it's really easy to miss or spill the water.I've had Russell Hobbs irons many times but this is not a good one & after only a few days I've decided to order another one.Great brand but they should honestly discontinue this item
