The Big Book of Patchwork: 50 Fabulous Quilts from Judy Hopkins

Great collection of patterns and instructions, but the quilts used for examples were very strange. Odd color choices made the patterns difficult to distinguish. Borders were simple wide strips. Nothing attractive or interesting. Drab colors and strange fabric combinations are almost irritating to look at in some cases. A couple were actually ugly. The patterns and instructions were very good, but for the most part, uninspiring because of the color choices. The table runner, Lois' Star, is very pretty. Birch Branches has a lot of pop to it, and the pattern is obvious. However, Churn Dash, honestly, looks like a jumble of scraps that you didn't know what to do with. Churn Dash is a great pattern, but you wouldn't know it if this was all you ever saw of it. Overall nice patterns, good instructions,but uninspiring drab colors. Don't know if I would purchase it again.

Just what I wanted at a great price. Condition said "used", but sure looks new and unused to me.

Fifty different quilt patterns with instruction.

A wonderful collection of scrappy quilts. You could always count on Judy to deliver easy blocks that use up the smallest scrap. In her memory, add a piece or two of cheddar-colored fabric to your next quilt. It was her favorite challenge. She is going to be greatly missed by her many friends and the quilters of the world.

This is great book with a wide variety of patterns. My test of a quilt book, before purchasing, is that I really want to make at least two of the patterns and there are ten in this book. The instructions are clear and I have already started making my favourite pattern from the book (Sisters Choice). Very pleased.

This book has very good instructions,and takes you through each stage with confidence.. I wish I had it many years ago ,when I started to make quilters.

This book has a good selection of patterns that are not hard, and will go together fairly quickly. It features the complete instructions and clear schematics that Martingale books always have. When I saw a used copy for sale, I decided that I would rather have a quilt book for Valentine's Day than flowers!
