Overall great - beware, no instructions!
Arrived promptly and as described. It's not immediately obvious how to assemble the softboxes and attach onto the lighting. The product came without instructions so I had to watch a YouTube video to find out how to put them together. It's also quite a difficult task the first couple of times! If you're unfamiliar with this equipment I'd recommend watching a YouTube video before you order to see how to assemble so you know what you're in for! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to include the link to the one i used but if you search "how to set up softbox lighting" then you'll find a number of them. There are metal rods to fix the softbox to the lighting and one of them just won't stay in place which is irritating but does not affect the usability of the lighting. The lighting is very bright which is a plus in my opinion and you have the option of just switching on two bulbs rather than four in each unit. Very nicely packaged and suits my needs to film videos. Overall I'm happy with just a couple of niggly issues, but good value for money and I would recommend.

Great Lighting with a few hiccups... (very honest review)
The value for money for these softboxes is fantastic! They cast great adjustable lighting, the four lights per softbox are controlled by two switches - two lights to each switch. However, there are no instructions to set up the softboxes making it quite difficult for somebody who is new to this equipment. I needed the help of my housemate to do the first one. Also, when inserting the poles, there isn't a clear hole for the pole to be inserted into and it can be quite difficult to keep the already inserted poles in place when you begin to do the others. I had to search on Youtube for a tutorial. This aside, as stated at first, once the softboxes are set up, they are a wonderful product that provide fantastic lighting and will work brilliantly with any other lighting .

Soft box Nightmare.
This kit is good value for money and I use it in my home studio and I particularly like the individual switches on the lighting head for each of the 5 lights. The only gripe I have with this kit is that the soft box assembly is extremely fiddly and came without instructions. I spent two or three separate days trying to figure out how the soft boxes were to be assembled but succeeded in the end.If your buying this kit make sure you get some kind of instruction even if it's only the Ikea type then at least you have a fighting chance of being able to assemble the soft boxes.

and I have been able to get some great shots from them already
Came with everything advertised, works perfectly well, and I have been able to get some great shots from them already, incredible value for money. The only two negatives I can think of are that there was no manual with information about the product, including a set up guide, which would have been helpful on the first time I tried to attach the soft box to the light. The second is that on the first time using the case to carry the equipment somewhere the handle ripped, meaning I have to carry it like I am hugging it which is an inconvenience, but I suppose you get what you pay for!

Good for starting out. Poor life span.
This is a good product if your getting into lighting and experimenting with light for your photography. The light is nice and soft but the lights aren’t massively bright so need them close to the subject. I’ve taken great pictures using them. Their downfall is the actual light box and the light heads that hold the metal rods. The plastic inserts wear away over time and have caused mine to collapse so I can’t use them anymore. Good while they lasted.

Great Product !
Overall very happy with this purchase and amazed at how great value for money it all is. I was surprised to find a third softbox and overhead tripod included aswell as the two regular ones. Lights are great bright white, no flicker and light my set brilliantly. Assembly can be a little tricky and instructions would have helped me alot massively. The delivery company was absolutely useless. Told me it was arriving, waited in all day and they cancelled it in the evening. Tried making a complaint and they didn't resolve. Redelivered next day after waiting in all day again!

Main concern is both had broken mains sockets
I bought this item but when I went to plug in the cables I noticed on both of them the mains socket was cracked and the pins were loose. (See photo) Rather than be bothered returning them I purchased two sockets from Ebay and soldered them in to place. If you have bought one check the mains sockets as I don't think I will be the only person who will have cracks on the sockets as shown in the photograph. Also the soft boxes are a pain to set up so I binned them and purchased two Neewer 24"x24"/60cmx60cm foldable Off-Camera Flash Soft Boxes and enlarged the back of them to enable the repaired light housings to fit inside if fitted in from the front, as shown in the photo. Due to the way the bulbs are placed the soft boxes have to be fitted in a diamond pattern but it works fine and is much quicker to set up. All in all it is still good value even with the hassle of binning bits and soldering other bits, but I suppose you only get what you pay for so it is still OK for me.

Great first lights
Great does the job! My first studio lights wbdvreally like them.My only gripe is the they come with bags for the soft box but the stand and bulbs don’t fit. With everything else I’m carrying I need a bag to carry all so will have to purchase separately.
