Five Stars for D-Mannose, which I discovered here on Amazon and bought because of all the excellent reviews, but NOT for the price! Clear Tract is overpriced in view of the other pure D-Mannose products available on Amazon. 50 grams of 100 percent pure D-Mannose cost $21.18 from Clear Tract (on 3/34/2015), while 85 grams of Now Foods 100 percent pure D-Mannose is only $14.98 http://www.amazon.com/Now-Foods-D-Mannose-Powder-3-Ounce/dp/B000HCMK90/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427222936&sr=8-1&keywords=d-mannose. It appears to be the same. If it were certified organic, non gmo, not corn based, etc, I might be motivated to pay more. I am still thrilled with the actual product, but will be buying from Now Foods, through Amazon Auto ship from now on for significant savings.That said, when I found Clear Tract on Amazon, I would have paid anything in hopes of relieving my UTI symptoms. Antibiotics were hardly touching the symptoms. My urine test at the doctor was coming back as clean of bacteria, and I was very fearful that I might have interstitial cystitis, which is a much harder to treat inflammatory condition rather than an infection. From my Internet research I learned that the lab test from the doctor's office detects only specific bacteria, so if you have different bacteria, it will come back negative. That does not mean that you don't have a bacterial infection, so D-Mannose may be helpful. If you don't have bacteria, it will not help you. That is not the fault of the product. You should look into other causes, such as interstitial cystitis.I am currently using it in conjunction with antibiotics, which were not working until I added D-Mannose to the program. My symptoms are almost gone, as of the 2nd day of adding it to my antibiotics, but day 6 of my 7 day course of antibiotics. I even had an additional injection of another antibiotic on day 3 because I had never failed to have at least some relief within a couple of days of treatment. The injection wasn't helping much either. I was getting a bit panicked, and am so RELIEVED to have some relief!!!Other reviewers are saying that they use it to treat their UTI's entirely, without antibiotics. It is sweet, but less so than table sugar. I add one serving to a large glass of water, and drink about 6 to 8 servings a day this way. I will add this to my daily routine in hopes of preventing recurrences. I am very happy with the results, and am happy to have something helpful to tell my female friends who also suffer with UTIs.A weird thought pop into my head this morning: Treating a UTI with D-Mannose is like "catch and release". The bacteria thriving anywhere in your urinary tract system "catch" onto the D-Mannose, which is a sugar, then are "released" when you urinate.

A couple of years ago, repeated urinary tract infections were frequently sending me to the doctor for antibiotics. It seemed with each case, I developed an allergic reaction to the antibiotic and had to discontinue use in order to begin a new course of even more expensive antibiotics. Each time, the very unpleasant side effect of a yeast infection followed, requiring treatment of its own. My immune system was weakening, not improving, and I began to search for an alternative.D-Mannose has been the best solution ever. No allergic reaction, no yeast infection, safe and natural, and far less expensive that doctor visits and antibiotics. I love the powder over the capsules because I don't like swallowing all those pills. The D-Mannose powder has no flavor or texture at all. I put it in my water and don't notice anything. It greatly curbs the discomfort of the UTI while it is at work to eliminate it, so relief is swift.Perhaps the best thing about it is that it did, indeed, strengthen my system to resist UTI's. After a season of using it as a mantinance program, I went off of it and didn't see another UTI for over a year. When one did come back, I just reached in my medicine cabinet to begin treating at the first hint of discomfort. So easy!I have tried other brands of D-Mannose capsules because my natural foods market did not carry Clear Tract powder. They were not as effective. In fact, the ones with cranberry added just didn't work at all. I've decided to always keep Clear Tract on hand from now on.As a side note, I will say that if you exceed the dosage, you may expereince slight intestinal upset. This happened to me once or twice in my zeal to rid myself of the UTI. No big deal, I just adjusted the ammount. No problem since. And it was a small price to pay for an alternative to the very serious side effects modern medicine was dishing out to me before. D-Mannose a far superior treatment.

I cannot begin to say how much of a lifesaver this stuff has been for me. I was getting UTIs every 3 months or so and haven’t had one in 6 months. Urgent care visits we’re getting pricey and I was tired of taking antibiotics so often. I tried lots of different products on the market that didn’t work and would end up going to urgent care again and wasting more and more money. Doctors didn’t have any advice for me. I was told to see a uro-gynecologist, but couldn’t find one in my area and with the terrible insurance I had, I was sure I’d be spending even more money and time trying to find help. I finally found this product and haven’t had any issues in 6 months. I’ve ordered it a couple of times but have been able to cut back on using it because I haven’t had any UTIs. I know the are other products that offer the same ingredient, D-mannose, that are probably cheaper, but I know this product works. It doesn’t taste or smell like anything and I’ve never had any problems using it. I read that some experience bloating, but I have never had that issue. I will definitely buy this product in the future when I run out. If you suffer from UTIs, I highly suggest purchasing this product.
