I'm no welder, but i got them for my son for his birthday. He's taking college level welding classes in high school; so by no means a close to a professional. He says it works great and feels good on his head, not too heavy. So, you can take that for what its worth. he's happy so I'm happy

the lens it self stops working for you
i got my husband this for a gift for Christmas for his welding class and he said his lens just stops working every once in a while even his instructor said the lens does not work correctly im very displeased with this item my husband has burnt his eyes and got a ulcer in his left eye from the lens going out on him because of this lens on this mask it has damaged my husbands eyes trying to weld with this helmet it could have made him loose his eye sight completely im super pissed off at this product and do not recommend anyone else to buy this item
