No, the squeegee comes assembled and it is great!

Q: The 10" looks like hole in handle. the 12" doesn't. Want a hole in handle to run a string and hang from shower caddy. Does the 12" come with a hole ?

Sorry I don’t know about the 12”. The 10 “ is short and heavy. It comes with an adhesive hook which you attach to the wall of the shower on which to hang the tool.
