Good product but…!
Love this to get my red dot and scopes zeroed, or at least get them close enough I can fine tune it at the range instead of guessing and trying to find impacts. BUT, don’t close the bolt in this with it in the chamber. The bolt did not go all the forward and got jammed. Charging handle got stuck too. Had to mortar my ARs to get the laser out. Best practice would be lock the bolt to the read, put the laser in the chamber, zero your sight, remove the laser and then release the bolt. Other than this slight flaw I was able to make minor adjustments to three optics and a PEQ. Would recommend for purchase.

Checks the boxes works as advertised
With the cost of shooting real steel down range always seeming to go up. I decided to pick up a Bore Sight to safe on costs (every little bit counts right?). With that thought in mind I hoped on amazon and did some searching and found the Darkfang, the price caught my eye first is was not overly expensive and the reviews where mostly positive. I was thinking "Hell if it turns out to be junk its not a big loss, you get what you pay for".It arrived on time (so thx for that amazon) and I used this Bore Sight to zero the optics on my M-4, after I bore Sighting my optic's I took my rifle to the range and was putting rounds on paper in the first 3 shots, 100% on target in the first 6 shots at 100 yrs. I am very please with the Darkfang. I will most likely get a 9mm Bore Sight from these guys as well. With the more common ammo types 9mm, 5.56 the costs savings might not be as evident as current prices go as of the date of this review all of the ammo types mentioned are somewhat inexpensive. However with the more expensive rounds say your 308, 6.5 and 243 you will see the cost savings especially if you are using multitude of different optics. If you go to the Darkfang store they have a few more Calbers for bore sights then what's listed on the 556/223 advert.

Works as expected, buy with confidence.
Works as expected. Good product for a fair price. Be advised that in an AR-15 the extractor will not grab the rim of the bore sight cartridge and extract it. Not sure if that is on purpose or not, but presents only a minor inconvenience. Note that there is no on/off switch. Each time one uses the device, one must put the batteries into the device. Nonetheless, this is only a minor inconvenience. At 50 yards using 62-grain Winchester green tip 5.56 ammunition, the point of impact is about about 6 inches higher than were the laser projects on the target.

Save your money
Well I have had a 556 version before , hated the fact that there is no on and off switch, you actually have to unscrew back and remove batteries, trust me you will loose at least one battery making it useless, wife ordered me a 6.5, same problem, the batteries will flip upside down easy, so 20 min later I get the batteries stacked in correctly, so I go out in the yard in daylight and point toward many different things, never did see the red dot, it looked bright , but did not find one thing I could see through my scope that I could see the dot, so a person may need some kind of reflecting target to see this dot, that plus the fact there is no off button makes it more of a novelty instead a real tool. Maybe one of the other type bore fighter better with the target sticks in end of barrel. Or maybe a reflective target, a gun Smith I know said he didn't trust these laser kind either, I did see it bounce off a license plate on a car, maybe that's a good target.

working
The rifle sight can be adjusted perfectly, but to remove it from my AR/5.56, you have to insert a rod through the end of the barrel of the weapon to push it in because it gets stuck.se puede ajustar la mira del rifle perfectamente pero para extraerla de mi AR /5.56 hay que introducir una barilla por la punta del cañon del arma para empujarla porque se traba
