Excellent, if you can handle the extended length on your guitar
I love Schaller straplocks, not just for the added security of straps staying in place, but also because I can hot-swap a strap to any guitar with speed and ease. This is the new design, which has an extended thread length for the lock to fit through the strap hole. The positive: If you have a really thick leather strap, this model will make it MUCH easier to screw down the locking washer. The negative: The extended length also means that your strap buttons are going to extend farther than the stock/normal guitar buttons. If you have a guitar case that is form-fitted to your guitar body, these will extend past that mold. Also, they look extra-lengthy with the strap attached.Otherwise, I love these things. I have three straps, and 8 guitars. I switch out a strap when I use a different guitar, quickly and efficiently.INSTALLATION NOTE: You will need an allen wrench to screw them into the guitar body. Also, check to make sure the length and thread width is the same as your original strap buttons to prevent splitting/cracking on your guitar body.

The best locks I've used.
I've used plenty of other strap locks in the past and these are by far the best.I like these because the strap button pretty much looks like a normal button and could be used for one with a normal strap if you had to. No trouble fitting in the case. The locks on these are very smooth to put on and take off. Perfectly quiet too.Seem to be very strong and positive locking.I put these on a Fender and the screws fit perfectly. A little wax on the threads and they were not too tight and certainly not loose. Just right :)

Improved installation and latching
These are exactly like previous versions except the installation method has changed (easier in my opinion) and they have angled one side of the pin so that they are easier to latch. I like the new installation method. They are using an Allen head screw for the new button which removes most of the fear of stripping out the head, unlike the previous Phillips head type screws provided on the last generations of these strap locks. They go on easy and they have also angled on side of the locking pin that allows the strap lock to slide on the pin easier. Just as solid and secure as previous generations just with some extra convenience features. I will definitely buy these for future guitars.

Need strap locks? These are strap locks.
They serve their purpose. Nothing fancy about them but they work perfectly. The piece that attaches to the strap itself actually fits and locks on the existing posts on my guitar (Duesenberg Starplayer TV Phonic) - an added bonus.

They are expensive but real high quality.
Super easy to install. They work well. I need to get used to them. Not a problem!
