The New One Minute Manager: The best-selling management handbook for aspiring leaders and executives (The One Minute Manager)

It's been many a year since I read this book, having first bought a copy years ago when I first got thrown into management. It stuck with me, useful info for me at the time, which I did use to a degree. My daughter having been thrown into a management role, with not a lot of experience under the belt, I searched and was happy to find an updated version that I've gifted to her now. Hopefully, she actually reads it lol, and does get some good advice and use out of it as I did back then.

This is a must have book for anyone who’s started their own business and looking to employ and develop their team. The story may be a little odd at times but principals in this book are absolutely sound and really work. I feel like the person writing the book held back slightly - but it doesn’t really matter, if every business managed their teams in this way, the world would be a much better place.

Overly simplistic. Cannot work in a complex managerial world in a fast paced business. Context is lacking.

Just no convinced if this book is as promising as some others think.Things are overly simplified and I question whether it is so useful.Def sparks thoughts though and I am not disappointed to have read it.

This is a really accessible way to understand 3 key elements of management, the author takes us through a story, charting the journey of a new manager finding out the secrets of the successful “One-Minute Manager” who provides mentoring to him.The book describes three techniques that a manager can employ, these are not ground breaking but are often overlooked, with excuses like not enough time coming up – this book suggests these are not time consuming activities…so no excuses!

For anybody who wants to be a manager, is a manager, or manages managers. Excellent read, taught me alot in the short period of time it took me to read
