1.6mm electrodes
lit up and stable arc at 40a - jst about right for these light rods - stayed lit and worked well. good general purpose mild steel rods for light duty welding (sheet work in my case). a lot of negative reviews probably because people used too high a current - one guy sounded like his electrodes were damp or even wet!! store them right and keep them dry and theyre perfectly good, decent electrodes. minor grouse was no box but welders usually have plenty boxes so jst decant them into a box and stick on a label so youll know they are 1.6!!! mine came in a robust sealed bag which was well packaged so they were in perfect condition and dry. the parcel took a bit longer than expected but that wasnt the vendors fault and wasnt a problem for me as i had about 20 in my stock. nice and cheap and work well - whits not tae like????
