Skinner's Field & Trial Complete Dry Adult Working Dog Food Lamb and Rice, 2.5 kg

As a lot of people know pocket bully’s are notorious for allergies, chicken being probably the main one. My pocket bully absolutely loves this skinners duck and rice. No issues with stomach and absolutely zero issues with skin or allergies. This is definitely a winner 👌

It took a few days for my boys to settle on to this food but it was literally a few days. It's easy to feed, he quality is good and it hasn't turned to dust like some other kibbles and is a nice size biscuit for my my small spaniel and my collie cross who enjoy this every time it's put down in front of them. Their coats are still glossy and they still have plenty of energy so I'm going to say there is absolutely nothing wrong, especially as a more pocket friendly feeding option (I was previously feeding raw which was costing me over £100 a month and just wasn't affordable anymore).The bonus is having it on subscription from amazon which means it won't run out. Can't go wrong with that sort of service.

Our dogs love this dog food. It always gets delivered quickly when we order it. And comes well packaged , never a ripped or damaged bag, these are big bags so lasts along time. One of our dogs has lots of allergies but this food is great for them. It’s wheat free and measured right for fats and protein. It’s also good for there joints and digestive system. It doesn’t have a strong smell as it stinks the kitchen out like some dog food but our dogs love it, it’s not to big for them to chew but they do like the crunch it makes. They always clean there bowls every meal and one of our dogs is very fussy with what food we use in the past. Good value for money highly recommend.

Really good food. Would have given 5 stars but my 18 month old springer needs nearly double the recommended feeding amount which I think is more down to his metabolism than anything else! Just to make everyone aware that if you have an energetic / slim dog you will be feeding more than the recommended amounts. Would be a good diet for adult dogs needing to lose weight.Ingredients are very good, no rubbish fillers added to this food and Otis's coat is soft, shiny and silky.Also he doesn't poo very much on the food either which is always a bonus!

Although this is compelte dog food, we use this to add a little texture into the wet dog food we give our collie.He runs it all off anyway and loves the stuff. Have had a few differing varieties over the time but this is the latest one he is on.

Great value and quality our dog has eaten this for 3 years now

I regularly buy this Skinner's Duck and Rice dog food on Amazon as it is not available in pet shops in Ireland. I do not often give 5 star but have not hesitation in doing so for this product.My Golden Labrador comes from a rescue and that rescue postponed delivering him to us several times as he suffered from severe diarrhea. Finally 2.5 years ago, we welcomed our dog with a warning that the vet had been unable to cure the dog's digestive problems and also with a (very expensive) bag of Hill's Science sensitive stomach dog food which the rescue gave us as it had been recommended by the vet. For weeks, there was no improvement in our dog's digestion and I search the internet for a miracle solution. This food was the only one that seemed to have none of the cereals and fillers that are the most common cause of allergy (wheat, maize...) and was at a price that allowed us to consider buying it for year to come if it agreed with our dog.Our dog has been eating that food for well over 2 years now (we sometimes buy the salmon and rice version for a change) and has never had any digestive problem since. Of course it could be because his initial stomach problem were due to our dog being stressed and would have settled with time whatever the food he was put on. That is the reason I had never reviewed this product before now.However, last month, I suddenly had to foster the dog (a golden retriever) of a good friend of mine as that friend suffered a stroke. My friend warned me that his dog suffered from diarrhea (in addition to multiple other ailments). As my friend's dog was delivered to me without food, I decided to feed him the same food as my dog. Last week, my friend left the hospital and I gave him his dog back. My friend was delighted by the state of his dog and even more so when I told him that his dog's digestion had been trouble free. So delighted in fact that he asked me to order double the quantity of Skinner's food so that his dog could continue eating it.Added to that the fact that people often comment on my dog's coat and how healthy he is, I definitely have no hesitation in recommending this food. I also like the fact that the Duck and Rice version barely has any smell and because the kibbles are relatively large but also light, it looks like our dog has a lot of food in his bowl.As for the taste, I can't say much: my dog and our guest dog love it but the are not picky tastewise.

We had a standing order for two bags a month for our dogs. When they arrived this time there was a very strong chemical type odour. Opening one of the bags resulted in the odour being far more noticable. This is not the first time we have had this problem. As this product has no option to be returned, once again we contacted Skinners directly. Skinners were very helpful and commented that they had been dealing with a number of similar issues from Amazon customers. They have again agreed to replace both bags. Having given Skinners the batch numbers we noticed that the bags were very close to the use by date and furthermore in the old style bags which I have been informed were phased out some months ago.. We have now opted to cancel the Amazon order and purchase locally as the cost difference is minimal. We felt that Amazon, in this instant, should be responsible as the “retailer” however with no returns policy or contact information it fell to Skinners once more to resolve the issue. So in conclusion be aware of Amazon retailers when buying this product.

Für meinen hautempfindlichen Hund mit Juckreiz super.Das Fell wurde weich und fluffig, der Hund frisst gerne.Brocken sind klein und hart, erinnert an gebacken, jedenfalls kein Extruder oder Kaltgepresst, super fürs Training.Endlich mal viel im Napf, er freut sich richtig drüber, länger als drei Sekunden fressen zu dürfen.Der Geruch ist interessant, bisl fettig, aber nicht unangenehm und kein Schmierfilm auf den Fingern.
