I can literally pour cold water in, and hours can go by, and the water feels colder if not the exact temperature. It’s almost startling. I take a swig expecting warmer water, instead it’s at least as cold as when I put the water in, hours later. I have a smaller version of this, however, because the water kept at such a deliciously cold temperature – on a warm day – I ended up drinking even more water than I usually do, draining the bottle. So, I opted for this larger version, it just fits in the side pocket of my vehicle too, and easily fits in my cup holders.The exterior of this finish is materially different than the smaller version, which has a smooth exterior, this 25-ounce version feels very course, almost like a low numbered sandpaper, like 110 - 120 grit, aiding my hold on the bottle. I like the course exterior better than the smoother version of the smaller version of this bottle.I think a strap, handle, or carrying case built for this would be a big bonus.Additionally, I think a rubberized/silicone cover for at least the bottom would be ideal, reason being, these bottles end-up getting a lot of use and eventually take a beating. Nothing worse than dropping these and getting a dent or road rash.Nevertheless, my wish list does not detract from the overall item.Do these sweat?No.Do these get hot to the touchNever.ValueThis is priced about 133.16% greater in price than that a competitor’s double walled bottle. This main reason I got this water bottle was because it touted "no condensation" as a feature. With 3 kids we go through a lot of water bottles. And the worst is when you throw some ice cubes in there to please the kid who won't drink non freezing cold water, and a little time later you realize your whole backpack is wet from the condensation. So the first thing I did after cleaning the bottle was to put some crushed ice and water in there to test it out. The opening is pretty narrow, so you won't get too many regular ice cubes in there. The color is very muted - more of a burnt orange, which I find nice, but it's a bit off from the online images. The surface is a bit textured feeling and not slick.The size is great for a 7-8 hour day, but won't fit in your bike water bottle holder in case you lost your regular bottle and hoped to use this instead (we lose ours all the time).The metal screw top is easy to screw on and off, although kids might lose it as it's not attached and has no holder. The bottle isn't really meant for kids, I'd say it's more of a hipster bottle for the cooler crowd.The claim is that this keeps drinks cold for 48 hours (hot for 24). I don't need these extreme time lengths, but it's obvious so far that this thing keeps your cold water very, very cold for hours on end (and I only threw in a few pieces worth of ice).Condensation: none. So awesome there too.So would I pay $30 for this? Probably not for a kid, but as an extra family water bottle to throw into the mix when traveling by car, sure. I might drink more water each day if I keep this thing filled by my desk as well. It's a pretty heavy bottle to bring walking, although the no condensation trade off is nice. It's definitely the nicest water bottle in our house at this point, and way better than the dozen we've gotten from Costco/Walmart over the years to throw into school backpacks. For me it'd be perfect it if could somehow be lighter weight and fit into my bike's water bottle holder, but that's not really the target activity for this bottle.So overall it's an item I'm glad I have.

I like the S'well brand and have had a few, but this style is new to me. The larger size is useful for days when you are not near a place where you can refill. I tested and it kept hot water hot and cold water cold for the 12 hours that I tested, which is how it will be used.My only issue is that I have never had a textured bottle before and while I can see it would help with grip, it just feels odd. Just something to realize when purchasing. The listing does not clearly call out this "feature".Also, in my opinion (picture included), the color seems more flat / muted than what is shown in the listing. Not bad, but off from what I expected.

This bottle is not only a pretty golden color, but it does not sweat, it keeps my ice water cold and doesn’t leak. Really, that’s all I want in a water bottle and this delivers. On top of that, it’s textured so not slippery, and it fits in the car’s cup holder. It also fits nicely in my tote bag. The only downside is that the opening is small, so ice cubes have to be small to fit inside and it’s hard to dry after washing it. But I find the smaller opening makes it easier to drink out of, so it’s a tradeoff that I don’t mind.
