40 reviews and all 5 stars... dubious much? Here's a REAL first-hand review
UPDATED 1/19: I see 30 reviews have been removed but yet, the one by Clarence W Davis Jr mentioning speakers remain...40 reviews and all 5 stars... and the reviews are different from the original listing during a Lightning Deal? Yup, you guessed it, there are more than a few fake reviews. Case in point, one of the reviews mentions speakers... Really? Here's a real review for all you considering this true wireless Vkaka earbuds. While the concept is great (similar to Bose SoundSport Free), the execution is quite poor. Let's start with the case, the clear plastic is scratch prone and will likely crack with a good impact to it, not to mention, it was extremely difficult to open (hint, push on the middle between the two earbuds). It certainly looks nice but would've preferred they used something more durable. The four blue LED's indicating battery level was a nice touch (but bizarrely there's a 45% on the scale that was supposedly divided into quarters (25% - 100%), go figure. Next is the arrangement of the buds themselves, I suppose due to aesthetic purposes they have the left bud in the right side and right bud in the left with the button and mfr name facing you. All right, let's just call that nitpicking but would've been nice if they had gotten the sides right like Bose did (and no, just cause it's ~20% price doesn't mean they couldn't have so please don't start... lol).Pairing, this is a little tricky; basically if you're familiar with TW earbuds, they need to pair with each other first before you pair them to your source. Straight out of the box, they simply would not pair with each other and I had to perform a rest (hold the buttons > 5 seconds). Once paired, they were decent. Range was OK with a few cutouts between the two here and there but not as bad as some other ones I've tried. HOWEVER, once the power is cut (either by battery running down, shutting them off or placing them in the cradle for charging) is where the nightmare began. Once charging completed, they simply wouldn't pair with each other. Basically whichever side turned on first would then latch to your source but one side (typically the left) would simply not connect and I hard to reset and repair them (with the source off) each and every single time after powering them on. I hope it's just a bug but as is, they simply aren't usable. I am not going to waste my time repairing these each time they're powered. For reference I have not had this issue with two other TW earbuds I've tried (ASIN's: B077N3GS6Z & B074KZS1WM). This is a shame because...Sound Quality: they actually have a decent sound despite connecting in SBC though nowhere near as good as Jaybird's implementation of it. Despite claims of this featuring aptX, I simply couldn't invoke that codec when paired to my Avantree TC418 (had same experience with the other two aforementioned TW earbuds as well). They are a little bass heavy with a slightly veiled treble; muddy would be a strong word but if you're used to a clean neutral-ish profile, then these are not for you. That's not to say it's all bad, I actually liked the SQ as it's not fatiguing for long listening sessions. I can only imagine how much better these would've been had they truly supported aptX though. It did live up to claims in two areas:Waterproof - used them in the shower with no issuesBattery life - I got about the 2.5 hrs claimed before I'm constantly reminded that the battery is low (about 3-4 times) before they shut offAs for looks, due to the earbuds sitting on the outer edge of the canal, they tend to stick out a little. While not as bad as the much larger Bose Sound Sport, they are a bit larger than other TW's buds that sit inside the canal. The buds are reasonably comfortable and I had no issues with them falling out even while exercising.Vkaka - if you reading this, please let me know if I got a defective unit. If these can stay paired and support aptX I'd repurchase in a heartbeat. Sadly with the issues, these will have to go back.

I really did like them, comfortable and will definitely not pop out
I really did like them, comfortable and will definitely not pop out. Listening time very marginal, a little under 2 hours. Then after about three weeks, controlling earbud, ( the right one ) quit working. Tried everything, reset, re-charge, etc. , it won't work.Sending them back.
