So badly wanted to love this oil but the smell was too harsh for me. I could have dealt with it if it was just the oil that smelled but it also smelled up my entire medicine cabinet, which is when I decided I had to return it.

Honua Skincare, Olena Beauty OilThis works wonders on small cuts and scrapes to speed up the healing process. It does have a spicy scent from the turmeric and rosemary but I love that. I am using this on my face and so far it is working with my sensitive skin when mixed with my normal face cream. I also use a touch here and there on small irritated areas and it works within hours to clear up any issues. I am really intrigued by the soothing properties of this oil, It seems to work on contact and also reduces redness.Kukui Nut Oil is used by Hawaiians to soothe sunburn and shown to have anti-inflammatory, pain-reducing, and wound healing properties. It's also a particularly rich source of moisturizing essential fatty acids. Tamanu Oil"The special thing about Tamanu oil, though, is that it contains the totally unique fatty acid called calophyllic acid that is suspected to give the oil its amazing healing and regenerative properties. The traditional uses of Tamanu oil range from using it for all kinds of rheumatism (inflammation in joints) to burns, wounds, skin rashes, and chapped lips and modern studies do confirm the wisdom of the old Polynesians. This is a truly lovely oil. I have a particularly uncomfortable patch of psoriasis right on top of a very large scar. Oils tend to give me the best relief, even over OTC and prescription ointments. I got this oil specifically because of the Kukui Nut and Tamanu oils . I'd researched them a bit and found that Kukui Nut oil has anti-inflammatory, pain reducing and wound healing properties. Tamanu oil is loaded with nourishing and moisturizing fatty acids and contains the totally unique fatty acid called calophyllic acid that gives the oil healing and regenerative properties. Specifically, the wound healing properties of Tamanu oil is so strong it can produce visible improvements for even old scars in 6-9 weeks.This oil has been such a relief on my scar and psoriasis. It moisturizes the heck out of the area, keeping it from itching. It already is looking much better, not so flaky and scaly. Yes, this is expensive stuff to be using on my psoriasis instead of on my face, but if you've ever suffered from psoriasis you'll understand that it's totally worth it for a product that truly gives relief plus makes the area look better. This oil is gold.

I have tried a lot of different face oils on amazon. This one is wonderful because it contains turmeric/curcumin. I take curcumin in capsule form internally, but I had not ever tried it on my skin. This has fresh turmeric in it and has that wonderful turmeric earthy scent with undertones of nuttiness. I like the smell so much!The products is fairly clear in color, so there are no worries about staining with the turmeric. It feels really good on my skin. The Kukui, Kamani, and Macadamia nut oils are very fresh and very high quality oils that soak in really well without being greasy. This even has Hawaiian Noni fruit extract in it. I like that the ingredients are very simple and there are no weird chemicals or silicone. I am seeing so many face products that have Dimethicone, so I am really glad they didn’t add it to this product. There is a preservative, but it is 100% natural rosemary leaf extract. I’m glad they didn’t use a synthetic, artificial preservative.I think this is well worth the price for the high quality of the product. I like the minimal packaging which is 100% recyclable.I definitely feel the Honua Glow using this product. It is absolutely wonderful!

The Olena Beauty Oil is a yellowish oily fluid that comes in a one-ounce bottle that has a dropper dispenser. The oil is made from tropical nuts and botanical extracts. The first half of the ingredients list is impressive: Aleurites Moluccanus (Kukui Nut) Seed Oil, Calophyllum Inophyllum (Kamani) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, and Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil. I love Macadamia Nuts. It is worth a trip to Hawaii if only for these nuts. This Beauty Oil is really an oil. A small amount spreads a long way. I found that the oil was absorbed well and left my skin smooth and re-hydrated. It is good for dry skin but perhaps not for skin that is oily to start.

The scent of this product is likely to be a love it or hate it thing. It’s a very intense nutty fragrance that is completely new to me. It hit my nose as unexpectedly strong but I’ve gotten used to it. It’s not floral or fruity….more earthy than anything else.This is a very hydrating oil that is light and silky on the skin. It isn’t greasy and makes my skin feel super soft. The scent of it will be a make or break point I think for most people. I’ve used it on my face and hands and it performs well.
