This made me settle for 'now' instead of 'forever' "But even "now" was short lived, shorter than thought. I love rock star romances; I gobble them up like chocolate. Rock star romances are a guilty pleasure of mine for sure. On top of that, I frequently reread them over and over again.Despite my love for this genre, this is not my favorite and I won’tbe rereading it. The romance didn’t feel believable. These two were too openly hostile towards each other. He never even thought about her as anything other than a way to get revenge on someone else until the big Paris fiasco. Even then he only wanted a tour fling. This couple didn’t have enough ‘good times’ together that it convinces me they actually fell in love. Idk, it just wasn’t that enjoyable.If you really want an epic rock star romance read the Carnage Series by Lesley Jones, or the VIP series by Kristen Callahan. Or even the Tear Asunder series by Nashoda Rose. All those rock star romances kick this ones’ ass.

But how on Earth does one put into words what I just read???? Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, cue the hair pulling. This is 2nd L. J. Shen book I've read so far, and I can honestly say her books are da bomb!!!! The combination of an amazing characters paired together with unbelievable plot takes you on a whirlwind of emotions. And it happens here. I'm had my heart in ny throat half the book. And the last 30% of the book will make you quit on life cause you just have to know what happens. It's like a drug, and you're hooked. You need more and by the time you're done you'll want the next fix, cause this one got you high.You know, this is the part where I was gonna write something short aboth the plot, and how amazing it is. How great the characters are. And how through all the assholness of it all this book comes together amazingly. How it's a total page turner. How once you pick it up it's impossible to put it down. Cause there's no need to go into that. I'll simply say. Read this book. Buy it, get someone to get it for you, or simply steal it (just make sure you can take it to prison with you) cause this one is worth it. Book of the year people. Book of the year.FYI, this book is soooo much better if red with music in the background"Or maybe she finally understood what we were. Floating in the world, with no roots or ground or gravity. Mistakes, and sins, and errors were the bones of my kingdom."

After chapter 5 I was going to give up as the writing is so choppy, the jerky stuttering sentences and incorrect multiple use of commas was driving me nuts. Add that to almost all of the characters being dropped in a short space of time and the shifting tenses and I put my iPad down. This is the first book that I've read by this author and it needs better editorial eyes over it. A friend convinced me to carry on and I'm glad that I did as the story is brilliant and I loved it. Alex is your classic hyped up bad boy rock star, he's lost and viscous, he's violent and sarcastic. But he has a passion and tenderness that are very compelling. When he lost Tania I felt his pain. Indie is tough and determined, talented in her own right, a far gentler forgiving soul than Alex. The sexual tension between the two is electric, there is sex and it's hot and passionate and written in a very fresh way, none of the over used cliches. The interaction of the other characters is engaging as well, leaving me thinking there could be spin off books. I like the Anglicisation of Alex, so much better than I have read from an American author before, he's English for a start and not "British", there are a few blips but overall a great job. (The TV programme is The Mighty Boosh not The Mighty Bush, sorry that did make me laugh) I like the nickname Waitrose it shows how sarcastic and withering Alex is, but Lewis's background is hardly Waitrose territory more Tesco Express. The twists are brilliant, and the ending a good one. I recommend this book, it's a page turner once you get going.

This book shows that sometimes to love, to fix, to forgive and be forgiven you need to totally destroy, break the heart and shatter the soul!!Because sometimes glue is simply not enough...The kind of book that you love and hate, the story you want to know but you are scared to read about... The love that needs more than just pure feelings but all the darkness deep within our souls.This book, this hero...At first you hate him truly and deeply and you think I won't fell for him I won't understand him... But then you will find a glimpses of hope that you will simply lost in seconds in his deep and dark soulless heart...This hero won't turn from frog into a prince after first kiss... It will take him long, long time and then some to stop being selfish and self-centred arse... you will almost lost all the hope just to discover that even the deepest blue deeps of the ocean get a sun rays once in a while...The heroine will fight make you proud even if she will lost few battles on her way...The twists will come and will shatter her and his unstable world...I was surprised it took a lot longer than I thought for the hero to open his eyes... I was feeling disappointed in him... after so many words, so many heartbreaks he still was treating Blue like a temporary toy almost just to the end... The ending almost killed me I was so scared that they won't be together... that forgives will definitely come but at the price of separated lifes...So much was based on The Little Prince book one of the most beautiful and powerful ever written... it was like a double stab to my heart. It has broken many times during reading it but brought back to love in the most beautiful ways... My heart definitely found his little perfect blue planetAmazing read but you need to wait to the very end to see it's beautifully deep blue soul.

This is a beautiful, tortured, crazy love story. I was consumed by it. I couldn’t look away, even as I was wincing at what the characters were going through.Everything about this book felt right. The crazy, out of control rock star life that Alex led, the way Indie fell into his life seemingly by fate, their reactions to each other; it all came across as natural and organic and right.I didn’t see the twist coming, in the same way that you can’t see the wood for the trees. I was so close to the story, I reacted as though it had happened to me. Perhaps if I had been a little more detached, I might have guessed, but then I wouldn’t have been enjoying the book as much as I did.A really great book. Buy it. Read it. Love it.

wow alex is a d*ck! so in true me style, i fell in love with him🥲 he is filth but omg alex🥵🔥 i mean who wouldn’t fall for a rockstar, complete mess of a man, with a lot of issues🥲💘 i’m such a sucker for an enemies to lovers trope!! the bikes🥺 quarter of the way through i was so scared i wasn’t going to like this book, i should never have doubted you lj, i loveeee alex! as the book goes on you see alex soften a lot more around indie, he’s actually pretty sweet🥰 bit of a slow burn, soo much built up tension between alex and indie✨ something about a guy that can’t keep his hands off you he literally rips your clothes off you🔥 and he’s rich enough to also replace them🤤 tania🥺🥲 i fell for alex, my tortured rockstar🥺❤️‍🔥 this book defo has a big plot twist/omg moment that connects alex and indie😔 and another WHAT moment not too long after that, but no spoilers🙊 this book does touch on the topic of drug addiction, so you may want to check trigger warnings just incase before reading. refreshing to see a US author set the book mainly in the uk/with british characters, and use british slang in the correct context👏 loved this book, as i do all other lj books🥰 the emails at the end melted my heart🥺💘 the epilogue😭😭😭 my heart feels so full after reading that💗

This is the book about the bad boy; who will be the one to tame him? It is a story told many times. This particular version did not really do anything new. And that is why it could not hold my attention.In my opinion this story is filled with narrow, two dimensional characters. I got so fed up with all of them. If I had something, *anything*, to relate to these people then I may have given more stars. This is not my idea of a good book. A rock star and his 'nanny' : it was just too contrived. I could not like the Hero, Alex ( alcoholic, drug using, angry S***) or the Heroine , Indigo (timid, shy girl with, baby sitting and dress making skills). All the hype around author L.J. Shen was wasted on me. I struggled through this book in the vain hope there was some redeeming feature. Then there was the plot twist........just 'what'?By then end of the book, I could not find any redeeming features for it's characters. I don't need them to be 'nice' or even likeable. I do care that the author did not make them interesting enough for this reader the enjoy this story.
