No CE marking
There is no CE mark which I understand is a legal requirement for sale in the UK. If they haven't bothered with this then they probably haven't complied with the regulations ensuring safe design. It appears well made with shuttered sockets. I wouldn't use this outside and advise ensuring it is mounted inside an insulated enclosure. There is no protection from touching the contacts from the back. Use only if you are able to install it safely!

Good but not great.
Bought these to fit where a pair of yellow site sockets were on a cable drum.Lack of dimensions on sellers listing was a small problem. They turned out to just fit but were smaller than the units I replaced and fixings needed redrilling. There are no seals on the flaps or housing so not sure if they would meet IP54, but fine for what I wanted.Worked well. :)

Buyer beware: Outdoor sockets need extra protection
My wife recently ordered these outdoor sockets for our daughter, but I'm not convinced they're the safest option. While they claim to be waterproof, they're not fully enclosed, and the back leaves the connections exposed. This is a concern, especially for outdoor use where rain and accidental contact with water are more likely. To be truly safe, these sockets would need to be mounted inside some kind of protective box that keeps the back covered. This adds an extra step and cost to the installation, which defeats the purpose of a simple outdoor socket solution. In the end, I decided to play it safe and order a pre-built enclosed outdoor socket instead. While it might not be as visually sleek, it offers much better peace of mind knowing the connections are properly protected from the elements and potential hazards. If you're considering these sockets, I would strongly advise ensuring they are installed in a way that completely protects the exposed back from any water or accidental contact. Otherwise, it might be best to look for a pre-built enclosed option for true outdoor safety.

Really for indoors
These were got for the shed where our tether pool is set up.(Lots of splashing in there). The back allows for wiring up the three poles and they can be secured to a wall if you arrange a wooden board to take them. The gaskets are very thin and flimsy. You cant really use them with water splashing around as there isnt anything to stop the plugged in plugs from getting wet.The waterproof aspect is how the ssocket connects to its background surface, IP54 is 5 for dust proofness and only 4 for water protection(water splashes form any direction). We probably wont use them for by the pool afterall even though we dont have anything plugged while actually swimming as they dont feel as trustable as the sockets you get with a proper outside coverand we cant 100 % say they wont have become wet internally when nothing is plugged into them.
