Kingfisher BF025 Deluxe Niger Seed Feeder

Goldfinches appeared in my garden to eat from this within 2 days. I wonder how they found it as I'd never seen them in my garden before I put this out and only did so as I was assured it would attract any that were nearby. Anyway, it allows them to get to the niger seeds without any other types of birds being able to get to them. Perfect.

Arrived earlier than expected. One small issue there are no perch pegs,so not so many finches feed

I've had this feeder for a week and not a single bird has tried to feed from it even though it is full with Nyger seed. the feed holes are very small, the birds can't see the contents and there are no perches for the birds to land on. All in all very disappointing and a waste of money. I have an old plastic seed feeder that I also filled with a mix of regular bird seed and Nyger seed and this does seem to attract Chaffinches. Maybe a cheap clear see through plastic feeder would have been better?

Although this is described as a niger feeder, I will only use it for general bird seed. The holes are big for niger seed and I had to put skewer sticks through the tube so the birds could land and feed. There was a lot of wastage and loads of seeds ended up on the ground.

Not the best item i have ever bought,looks good and shiny but not practicable for its intention,there is no perch for the birds to feed on,i have had this in my garden several weeks now and not one Goldfinch etc has gone near it.If it was not for the case i have used it i would of sent back to supplier for a refund read into that what you will.

Good value but it is not the birds favourite unit. Seed is not clearly visible .
