Nice little chopper
This is a nice looking little copter and a great addition to my kids action hero vehicle collection. It gets utilized for many of their 4.5 inch action figures not just Batman. The main rotor system spins by pushing a button at back of the helicopter. The tail rotor on the other hand has to be manually moved. The only feature I don't like about this toy is the horrible noise that the main motor makes when it spins. Doesn't seem to bother the kiddoes though, so I'm happy.

Fun1966 Batman Accessory to Fight Crime in Gotham!
Classical Batman accessory from the 1966 series. Just missing is the classical shark that Batman fought off when he was using the ladder into the water. Fun toy holding classic memories.

McFarlane has cracked it! Great toys at affordable prices!
This new Super Powers line by McFarlane Toys is revisit of the 1980s Super Powers line by Kenner without simply being a straight rerelease of the line. And it is already chock full of excitement! Background: The first time I saw the "Whirlybat" was in a 70s Batman comic. It's a small flying one-person vehicle that Batman kept in the trunk of the Batmobile, to get across Gotham City in a hurry without going back to the Batcave to start up the Batcopter or Batplane. It wasn't used much, but remains fondly remembered. The toy: A simple design that still looks 'cool.' It took just a minute to put together and is made of durable parts. Unless it is handled roughly, this should stand up to a lot of hours of play. Both rotors spin easily--the vehicle has a button to rotate the top rotor; a great play feature for kids--and figures (sold separately) sit comfortably in the seat. There's even foot rests to hold the figure in place. The price: $20 retail in today's toy market is a real bargain. The figures retail at $10. Which makes McFarlane's Super Powers line not only great fun but among the lowest cost toy lines on the market. Can't beat great characters, great quality, and great prices!Highly recommended for any kid or Batman fan... just don't forget to add a Batman or Robin to fly it!

The Vehicle I didn't know I needed!
The Whirly Bat was not even on my wish list of what McFarlane release I wanted to see, but what a fantastic throwback to the Filmation Batman Cartoons of the 60s and 70s! It's a great addition to my Super Powers collection. Now if they could do something about getting their stock distributed more evenly across the country and not short them on some of the characters ... Thank goodness for pre-ordering on Amazon!
