I've used this before and bought from Longacres as P&P was good as I bought 2x 20kilo bags. It doesn't scorch lawns or mark paving but it does smell for a couple of days after applying, a bit like chicken manure. It greens up the lawn really well but it's maybe not as long term as I was led to believe, green up lasted about 6 weeks. It does kill moss but don't expect it to work overnight, it's a 12 week thing. Also if your lawn is really heavily covered in moss i don't find it worked that well. Has to be applied by hand as granules are too big to be able to use a spreader. Reasonable organic alternative to weed, feed and moss killer.

This is amazing. All my grass was so bad it looked like it had all turned to moss. I thought returfing was my only option. I tried Mo Bacter ad recommended by a fiend and my grass looks great now. It’s so lush and green. At first my garden smelt like a farmer’s field and didn’t look any different. Now after a month all the moss has magically disappeared and no raking necessary. This is expensive but well worth the money and so much cheaper than returfing. I will definitely be buying again.

Works really well no blackwning of the lawn and defo kills the moss . Not cheap but worth it

If like me you are buying this primary for killing or controlling moss, it’s not the best I have used. I have used it three times on a very large are and it’s not cheap, I would say for the summer months the lawn looks better and the moss is less evident and the grass looks healthier, but it’s not killing weeds and the moss will gradually start to come back. I used it this autumn hoping to keep the moss at bay over the winter and this time it have very little effect, for nearly 500 quid I am feeling a little peeved. ( this is dosing to around 150 grams per square meter ) I really like the idea of it being safe for pets and not having to rake but I am going to be looking for other options come spring growing season. Photo on the left are after the first treatment last on is the second treatment, starting to look better but the moss is still there, I think you would have to be treating ever 100 days.

This is a good alternative to scarification. It eliminated all moss on my lawn. Easy to dispense but choose a period before rain.

Very good Moss killer as my back Garden was like a sponge with the volume of moss in it and after 6 weeks of it going down I noticed the moss going yellow and being killed off and after 8 weeks it had almost gone. I spread it in April/May last year and the results were very good and would certainly recommend it.

I have tried many moss killer products for our lawn and this has been the best by far. Within a week, the moss has all turned brown and although I didn’t need to, I applied lawn seed to the area and kept it watered for the next couple of weeks. Now new grass shoots are coming through and the moss has disappeared. I would definitely recommend this product.
