I love yoga!
I had never done yoga till i bought this dvd and even though i was expecting something abit less challenging and fast paced, i think its fantastic! Initially when i attempted the basic yoga section i had a lot of trouble, i did expect yoga to be slow, but after 5 minutes i was literally sweating! However, after doing the yoga basic section i quickly got the hang of it!! The dvd is split into the following sections:1. Yoga basics - a good introduction to the dvd, but i no longer bother with it.2. Buns and Thighs - i have found this by far the most challenging section, i don't have great balance and its really needed for this section.3. Abs- I could feel my muscles in agony the day after i did this section, it definetly works and after few attempts isn't too challenging.4. Yoga Burn - this is my favourite section it pretty much works everything in your body and is very fast pace and i love the positions in it too!5. Flexibility and Relaxation - this section is what i imagined yoga would be, its slow and its good if your tired and don't want to work too much of a sweat!Overall i think its a fantastic dvd, even for a beginner like me! The instructor is also brilliant, she gives you help in making certain very hard positions less challenging, so you can really work your muscles! I have noticed a difference!

Great all rounder
This yoga DVD is by far the best that I have used in the past few years of yoga-ing. There are no annoying adverts, skinny women pushing dietary supplements or false claims at eternal youth and slenderness. Instead this DVD, as it states, is broken up into a series of 10 minute sessions targeting various problem areas and some overall exercises. You can chop and change these easily (i.e. you're not going to damage yourself by jumping straight into an intense pose without warming up first), and you can even set your personalised order at the end of the DVD, though I haven't bothered. I've even managed to squeeze in 10 minutes a morning before leaving for work super early. If you've never tried yoga before this may be a little challenging, but work at it. I'm intermediate and I've noticed how much stronger I've got after a few weeks using this DVD, and its become easier too. As ever, don't think that this will make you into a supermodel. It'll help you tone what you already have, so as part of a fitness plan its great (I run, spin and do several other CV classes at my local gym), and to help you lose weight on a proper weight loss plan. Its not going to give you a 24 inch waist while you munch burgers, but it will aid an assisting plan and you'll become bendier and stronger. Might even help you develop a new party trick, who knows?!My advice is to get it and enjoy it!

10 min yoga solutions
I bought this dvd work out after a visit to the doc's said i kneed to loosen up my back with yoga and palates. As my back was v stiff causing constant pain getting worse or better threw out the day. I dont have much time as a mother of 2 under 5v's. I am not new to excersize and walk a lot. I was warned of zumba as too abrasive for my condition. So your dying to know did it help. Yes! I started doing 20 mins a night and alternate with palates solutions. And after 3 weeks I was more symmetrical and I was more sculpted and my confidence was growing! Whats more my back pain is a lot better, I look forward to my workouts I enjoy the sessions and they do become easier I now do longer workouts and cope easier than when i started doing them. I now have 5 of this range and alternate them to avoid getting board with the work outs. I highly recommend them I am now starting my fifth week of 5 nights a week brill. Now go buy it! It's worth the money.

there are better DVDs out there!
I have been going to yoga classes classes on and off for a while now, and would say I am probably at intermediate level. I bought this, along with several other DVDs, for days when I can't get to the gym classes. I think this one is far too fast paced unless you do it enough times to memorise the routine. I agree with some reviewers who say it may even be too fast to do correctly or safely without an instructor there to check your form. Her spoken instructions can be vague, which means that I was constantly looking at the TV to see what she was doing, even though I have been to enough classes to instantly recognise the poses when I did see them. I found myself needing to rely on my prior knowledge to do the routines effectively. There was no guidance on how to properly do the poses, and I do think that the typical reminders about holding your core/ having string pulling your head to the wall etc are essential for anyone new to yoga, as well as people like me who just like the reassurance that their form is okay. I think the Yogalates DVD (with a woman in a white top on the front cover) is far better than this.

Impressed
I am impressed with this DVD, although I take on board what others have said about it being fast in terms of the movements. I have done yoga in the past and have recently returned to doing it. Some of the movements are quite hard if you are a beginner but I just think that if I'm lagging a bit I can just pause the dvd, it's not as though I'm in a class. And I know that with regular practice I'll be able to keep up. I have not done the whole of the dvd one sequence after another, although that is my aim, but rather picked out a couple of my favourites. I do other exercises too and don't always have acres of time on my hand. Anyway, to sum up, I like it but understand that it may not be for everyone

Just what I've been looking for
I've bought yoga DVD's in the past and been really disappointed with how slow and boring they are, I like fast paced yoga and this DVD does exactly that. It's split into five 10 minute sections which is great as I don't always have time to do it all but can always manage to fit in 10 or 20 mins in the evening. I've only been doing it for 2 weeks (10-20 mins most days) and my bad back is feeling much stronger already so for that reason alone I'd give this 5 stars! If you're after more traditional yoga where you hold poses for long periods then this isn't for you, but if you like more athletic yoga this is great.

bof bof

Check DVD format
Make sure you check the DVD format your player can play. I received one in PAL (for UK) format. My player (and my guess most players in North America) is in NTSC format.
