Wild Cards VII: Dead Man's Hand: Book Four of the Puppetman Quartet

Good, interesting and fun read. Up to the standards of the previous volumes in this series, which I enjoy tremendously. The last "un-edited" volume before Georgie boy and the "Trust" have decided to re-edit the next volumes, (as they have done in One-Eyed Jacks), with childish and amateurish personal political screeds against the current President??

Dead Man's Hand (Wild Cards #7) by George R.R. Martin (Editor / Artist), John J. Miller The Dead Man’s Hand is one of the best stories yet, I like that it focused on two main characters and intertwine the two stories, it also filled in the blanks left by ace in a hole, and makes me like the series even more.

Wonderful story. The cover art is deceiving. You will not be disappointed. I'm at a loss for words. George R.R. Martin never holds anything back. I cried, I cringed, and I clenched my fist in hope. Read it. Or maybe you'll just end up in the tombs. POP

Good book, but fair warning. it has a graphic scene of a child being drugged and raped. To say more would be spoilers

This is an excellent series in a fantastic world full of strange and colorful characters. It gets better with every book and each of them is memorable. It has been years since I read the sixth book, but this one jogged my memory and I remembered a lot more from the previous book than I thought I knew. Still, this would probably have been even more enjoyable if I had read them closer together. Books 4-7 are part of an overarching story that revolves around a particular "big bad," so I recommend not taking too long between books.
