Authentic but mild!
I loved this frangrant Berbere! This is the only authentic but mild Berbere i have ever come across. Very sad not to see it in stock any more.

I was specifically looking for spice mixes to use when roasting Phool Makhana and while it isn't Indian or Asian in origin, as are traditional mixes used in this way, I liked the formulation of this one. I enjoy this very much in various entrées, and as expected it is delicious for seasoning Makhana. It is very aromatic and makes the whole house smell wonderful when I cook with it! I’ve since ordered another of their offerings, and I really think that this will be my go-to company for buying spices in the future. On their website, they offer great variety as well as various sizes of each which includes a 32-ounce size for industrial volume usage. Very nice – recommend!

I have recently just discovered this spice. I have found that it ranges in heat (spicy hotness that is) tremendously. This spice is very mild without any added salt. It's a little too mild to my taste but that can easily be changed by adding more chili or cayenne pepper. It's great with chicken and pork. It also is GREAT with riced cauliflower. I mix both with brown & wild rice dish that is cooked with cumin seeds.

this is really good. but with zero heat. since every company seems to have a slightly different berebere, I have been using this with Whole Foods berebere, like 1/3 Whole Foods for the heat, and 2/3 this for the seasoning while being able to actually eat the Tibs i am making. This is really good, either add cayenne to taste or blend with another berebere though, as I feel you need at least SOME heat for real berebere. That said, many are too hot to actually use, this is solid berebere flavor without so much heat you can't possibly eat it. Excellent for blending other hot berebere to taste....
