Great product
like most mechanics, I normally just crimp a butt connector and throw on heatshrink, because working under the dash or in hard to reach places makes soldering with a regular iron a nightmare. This completely solves that problem. I can now splice and solder anywhere with ease, which gives a superior connection. They heat up to 750 degrees in less than a minute and work like a charm. Great bargain.

Quite surprised
Heats up quickly. Works good. The only thing I had to modify was the tips, as they were to blunt, so I filed them to a point then tinned them a few times. Overall great buy. I'm quite happy with this iron.

Not study on the components
Wasn’t what I expected, the tips kept moving, not study while trying to grip the components. The tips get very hot, but unable to desolder.

Neat toy, it's OK.
I purchased this as beginning to dip my feet into SMT work back in 2018, and now I currently solder SMT components by hand professionally. I will preface that this tool can be handy when needed, but I can't really say it is worth the money with the experience I have now.As other reviewers have stated, the tips do not really stay put. Heat cycles cause the tips to come loose and rotate which can be a bit annoying. Especially, if you're like me, you'd only notice after the unit has reached max temp. The iron itself is also kind of flimsy and cheap feeling. Considering these issues doing any SMT work smaller than 1206 is probably going to be more frustrating than it is worth. You could probably wet pads with it but getting a reliable grip on any small component will be practically impossible with this thing. Now, I HAVE used this to place components when I really care about good fillets, and square placement. The ability to heat two pads at once is certainly useful at times. Doing large components like inductors, and SMT capacitors, and to an extent maybe even LED's this tool is really useful for getting a components in nice and centered when you cannot be bothered to use a hot air station, or god forbid a standard iron. Having tweezers can be a really useful tool to have. That said, I WOULD recommend SMT Tweezers of some kind in any EE's arsenal < if > you solder often enough. These have proven to be handy. But I would recommend saving your pennies and getting something nicer if you can afford it.A review on things that don't matter. The included stand is nice, I guess. The iron has never fallen out and stays in place well. The controller is inline, which I personally dislike. I would rather a station on my desk, because then I will always know where the buttons and knobs are because the controller won't be playing snake underneath my office chair. But it gets the job done. I have not checked to see how accurate it is, but honestly whenever I use this tool I kind of don't really care anymore anyway. I'm sure it is close enough.

Bad tip, but still neat.
This is a neat device for the budget. It's economical and its functionality appears to operate normally. I've seen and read how well they can work, when one gets a good one out of the batch. Unfortunately, I don't believe I received that part of that batch. On arrival, one of the tips wouldn't hold down properly. I tried to crimp the sleve around the tip (once I got the sleve to be still) to keep it in place, but it still had play. I couldn't find replacement tips, here on Amazon, so I ordered some that I found on eBay or AliExpress (can't recall), for $20, that said it was for this very station, but the sleves on those were longer than that of the OE, so I wasn't able to solve this issue. The device appears to have been manufactured by hand. It uses a programmable 8-bit Zilog S3F94C4 microcontroller, which you can buy a pack of ten of the very same microcontroller, on AliExpress, for $10. It's a nice, compact, simple, and economical build, it fits in the hand well and doesn't get hot, the tips are interchangeable there's a power switch on the console, its stand was a decent little stand that was sturdy and didn't move around, a lot.Overall, I think it's cool that something like this is out here for people looking for something like this, on a budget, or for the go, I just wish my experience with it worked out a little better. It may be too late, but I'm going to try to see if I can return the station for a refund. All things considered, not my worse failed purchase, but this one was a failed purchase, two stars.

Great value
If you want the "really good" tweezers you'll need to spend a LOT more money. I've only used these a little bit, but I'm happy with how much I got for what I spent.
