Usually buy Varta for the larger C and D sizes as they are good compromise between cost and life.

Long lasting
I’ve been buying these batteries made by another popular brand. Far more expensive and the ladt box of 12 I bought lasted no time. They certainly didn’t go on and on and on. I spotted these and knowing Varta is a German brand was tempted. German quality is invariably good.These are excellent l. They last much longer and they’re significantly cheaper, so I won’t be going back to the big brand. I hope Varta make batteries in other sizes too. Highly recommended.

Great batteries
Great batteries. I use them to power air pumps for my aquariums during power outages, which have unfortunately become common recently. I find the life of the battery to be good.

Not as good as hoped
I needed this size for a portable lamp.Saw these and going by the brand they appeared good value. Sadly not so.They didn’t last as long as the brand I previously used, barely lasting two evenings before dimming.Will not be buying again or recommending.
