Piano Homework Book and Practice Tracker (Blue)

I would have liked a bit more structure, organization with subject titles and tabs to help you find things easier. It’s basically plain writing paper. I am a school teacher by profession, so I am speaking from experience.

This book is very practical for my beginner piano student. It’s an excellent method of communication between both teacher and student.

This is a fun homework book especially for the little ones: the selling point is the staff music on the left and blank page on the right, so you can always reference back and forth easily when you're writing homework down. At the bottom of each blank page there is a box for each day of the week to track your student's practice. The book is as big as a A4 page, which gives you lots of room to write, not like those other super tiny homework books I've seen...Also featured in the book is circle of fifths and inspirational pages.I used this book with a lot of my songwriting students, who treasured their homework books and revisited the songs they had written in each one. This is to create memories, not just write on.

I got this book as part of a special giveaway offer I received as a subscriber to Meridee Winters' Newsletter. I've bought a hand full of books from her and they are all great! This journal is a great for kids and adults, and I plan on using it for both my own practicing and a recommended tool for my students. Much more fun and functional than journaling in a regular notebook.

As a teacher, these books aided me SO much in being able to give my students the absolute best practice techniques that I could! Not only is there convenient staff paper paired with each weekly lesson plan, but there's enough space to write down specific practice approaches, and a handy guide at the bottom of each page to write down when you practiced! Each student can visibly map their progress on their musical journey!Also, the easy-to-read circle of fifths at the back of the book is one of the most fundamental musical theory images/symbols, and makes it easy to explain things like scales, key signatures, and everything a budding musician needs to know about how to think about music clearly.Overall, this is simply the best thing I can think of when it comes to giving my students the best with their weekly practice!
