High quality
This lampshade is very high quality. I had been looking for an inexpensive shade for a hanging light fixture. I searched a long time, struggling to find one that had the correct fitting that was less than $25. We did have to drill the hole bigger to connect it to the light fixture, but I couldn't be happier with the shade (well, it would have been nice to have more color selection. :) )

The black and gold is a label.
This is kind of a funny story. I bought this shade for a lamp that my husband had made for his aunt out of a neat looking whiskey bottle. The bottle had a black and gold label on it so when I saw this shade, I thought that it was half off white and half black and gold. The black and gold is a label and the shade is all off white. It seems like it is very well made but it just wasn’t what I expected.

Pleasantly surprised at how nice this shade is
Very nice, especially for the price. It’s a nice ecru color and has a texture that’s a bit nubby- very casual. Just the look I wanted. Would go with farmhouse, and rustic styles perfectly. It’s not formal at all, but a great relaxed, casual look for a lamp needing that vibe.

I got this shade to replace the out dated one on a vintage lamp that belonged to my husband's grandparents. I love the way it looks! And it's just the right size to show off the great design of the lamp.

This shade looks excellent in scale and quality for my newly refurbished (over 70 years old) copper lamp. The little hole in the center of the spider of the shade was too small for the threaded pin at the top of my lamp. We had to get an adapter from the lamp refinishing shop and then it fit fine.
