My Koi and larger goldfish love this food. Seems to keep their color bright. Floats for a while and doesn't seem to come apart or dirty the water before they can eat it.

I've used this food for many years and the fish seem to do very well on it. Growth is quick and coloration is vivid.

Fish love it and are always healthy. Doesn't break down and dirty up the water.

I've used this brand for years but my local pet supply stopped carrying it. I tried what they had and it clouded up my small pond like crazy. I was glad to find it again at Amazon. I would have given it 5 stars, but the review page wouldn't let me

Great fish food, quality

When I first got my baby koi one year ago I had some food given to me by the breeder, so I don't know what their original starter fish food was. I found this by researching on Amazon and have been very happy with this purchase. I feed them twice a day. My fish seem to love it and they have tripled in size from last year on this food. They always come to the surface every time I pass by, hoping for some handout. There's even a couple that push the other fish away so they can have first pickings. Their colors are definitely very vibrant. I will be purchasing the wheat germ version for the fall.

Our koi and fancy goldfish love this food! When we have to switch them over to wheat germ as the weather cools (we also use the Hikari brand wheat germ) they are very upset! When we bought cheaper foods, they would eat some but much was wasted. They do not waste this food. Which is good because it is expensive. But if they eat all of it and don't waste it and you don't have to feed them as much, the value is greater.

Good koi food, worth the money

Although it is more expensive the koi fishes were less sluggish eating these Hikari pellets versus other brands. They really like it and is always racing to the top. With another brand, they do not want to eat it at all. It also smells much better than other brands.

If you have bigger fish, either giant orandas or ryukins or koi, this should be a good filler food, pellets are big, my orandas are 5 inchers, they gulp easily 7-8 pellets each at a time, they are pooping better as well. Better choice than hikari purple or green pack gold fish food. Pack is big and food spoils pretty easy if kept as is. OK choice if you have lots of fishes and the food would be used up. Else You can expect food to spoil.
