Now Foods Organic Soy Milk Powder: Excellent soy milk powder and very versatile
This is a superb and economically priced organic soy milk powder. It is unsweetened, but if you prefer a little sweetness, one only has to add a little sugar or honey to it (or any other sweetener of your choice). Some people have complained that it doesn't blend well, but here's a little secret for you: simply take a Mason jar (or any other glass or plastic jar or cup with a lid), and shake the soy product with your liquid of choice (and sweetner), and this will work out just fine. Plus, by shaking it, a nice foam will develop and give your drink a more creamy consistency. You can also use a blender.

Never buy any other plant based milk again!
This product is fantastic! It is all pros and no cons! First of all when you buy plant milks in usual package at Walmart you are spending most of the money for an expensive wax covered box and plastic cap and color printing that ends up in the landfill. Also, the std offerings are mostly just water and have significant added calcium and sodium which you don't need sometimes. Why pay to package and haul water around the country and pasteurize and refrigerate it. You can use this soy milk powder to constitute your own recipe that will be richer in flavor and involves essentially no packaging. ONE ingredient in this bag and organic too! I always wished my almond milk or whatever was more creamy but without added gums and thickeners, and this product is the solution. I blend a couple of tablespoons into a cup of dry steel cut oats and add water and then stir it around til homogeneous. Then add banana slices and fruit and let that sweeten it up as it all "cooks" (with no kwh needed) for a while. I learned to add just a tiny dash of salt to the mix. Voila! Perfect muesli with soy. Digests perfectly! No packaging, no refrigerating, little clean up. This is perfect food for van lifers too who don't want a refrigerator or to use extra kwh. Highly recommend!! Can you get any healthier than a bowl of steel cut oats, soy and fruit? NO, it is the ultimate for you mind and body and microbiome that keeps it all working like a well oiled machine...and good for the environment too!

It works - its not exciting or sexy and thats ok
Look, it is not going to taste amazing, its dry soy and nothing else. But if you are worried about gums and fillers and emulsifiers than this is a great value where you can make a decent amount of soy milk. I found mixing this with filtered water either in a blender or shaking in a mason jar to be pretty easy. I did not get clumps when I used a blender, and only a little when I hand shook in a mason. It has a great protein content, and its lovely that it is shelf stable since it is dry. I do think the flavor is more nutty than most soy milks, which could be a pro or con for you depending on you preference. For now I prefer Trader Joes organic soy milk which is ready made, cheap, and only 2 ingredients, but if that ever goes away, or I move somewhere else, I would gladly purchase this product again.

Gross taste. Can't get enough protein.
This does not smell or taste good at all. I do not think the soy has gone bad, I just think that's the flavor. But I cannot tolerate it and I've had some pretty nasty shakes in the past. You have to eat FOUR tablespoons just to get 8 grams of protein!! It mixes easily enough as it is a nice fine powder, but the awful taste is too much. This is not for me. I would return it if I could.

Wide Mouth Jar is Best for Making a Batch.
For a single person household, i don't think i'd buy this again. There's just not much savings to be had for all the trouble. I happen to like soy milk with my granola in the morning. So, initially i thought i'd save a little by mixing my own. And, that's just it. There's not a great enough savings to be had when i compare the time and mess it takes to mix it vs walking into a store and buying the shelf stable option. There's also the mess: Make sure you use a wide mouth jar with a cap that seals if you're making a quart or so at a time. I actually used a narrow mouth glass 64 oz bottle that required the use of a funnel-- it was akin to water torture. (I'm not the most patient person either.) This is no reflection at all the quality of the product. It turned out a creamy looking, tasty product. It's just the process that's too much for me.

Does not mix easily, very bland flavor
I'm disappointed that I have to either use a blender or put this in a jar and shake vigorously to get it to mix with water, otherwise it floats to the surface in lumps. Also this is a very bland flavor and not nearly as smooth and flavorful as the soy milk I buy in the store. However, in a pinch it works to make my own soy milk when I run out, or to add protein to blender drinks.

Awesome for cream soups
I'm loving this soymilk powder. I take a can of coconut milk and mix in several tablespoons of this powder and then mix it into the cooked foods with veggie broth. It makes awesome cream of potato soup and corn chowder. I just took an IP full of cream of potato soup to church and it was all eaten up. Even though it was vegan all of the people loved it. Creamy silky texture and it bumps up the protein content of the soup. I recommend this soymilk powder and I will buy it again.

tastes bitter
The powder mixes well, but I used a shaker bottle, and the foam never dissipated. As a beverage, it's bitter (actually, truthfully the worst soymilk I've ever had). Props for being organic and non-GMO though.
