De’Longhi Rivelia - Perfetto Automatic Coffee Machine with LatteCrema Automatic Milk Frothing, 16 One-Touch Drinks, Colour Touch Display, Interchangeable Hoppers, Black (EXAM440.55.B)

So, I rarely review products but feel I have to as it is such a great bean to cup machine. I’ve had the De'Longhi Rivelia EXAM440.55 a couple of weeks now after purchasing it in Black Friday week to replace my De’Longhi basic espresso machine (it was great, but took at least 20 min to make a cappuccino and clean up afterwards). Firstly the coffee is beautiful and can be tailored to your needs and wants; size, strength and even creaminess of the milk foam, it feels like you have your own personal barista in the kitchen! The setup is easy and the machine guides you through everything you need to know without even looking at the manual. It cleans the milk and coffee dispensers after each cup with minimal time and effort, just make sure you have a spare mug or vessel to hand to collect the waste water. The milk dispenser can be easily detached and kept in the fridge between uses which is a big plus for me. It lets you know if anything needs emptying (drip tray, waste grounds etc) or if it’s time to deep clean the milk dispenser - it will guide you through it all, step by step from the screen. The 2 hopper system is great, BUT this is also my one minor gripe with the machine. We swap between regular and decaffeinated beans (my partner prefers decaf), but it will always leave spare beans from the previous coffee in the grinder. It can be overcome by twisting the current hopper to unlock, and then selecting the option to grind and remove the beans in the grinder which is wasteful. Overall apart from the minor wastage of beans between hoppers, I can’t recommend this machine highly enough; exquisite coffee, beautiful and slim design, easy use and (minimal) cleaning, easily customisable, personal preference settings for individuals etc… If you’re in two minds about buying it, take the plunge, you absolutely won’t regret it.

We bought this to replace a De Longhi Magnifica 4200 machine, which gave great service for almost 12 years. Firstly, I am no coffee nerd. However, I am married to an Italian and have come to appreciate a robust 'caffe lungo' at breakfast, a cappuccino mid-morning and a good espresso after lunch (I try to avoid the buckets of boiling coffee sold by nearly every coffee shop these days). This machine does all three very well. The touchscreen is easy to use, allowing you to create your own coffee profile (strength, amount of water) for each style of coffee. You can also interrupt the pouring if your cup is about to overflow, or add extra. I really like the interchangeable transparent coffee hoppers. You can see the level of coffee beans remaining and easily switch hoppers for a different bean. The water tank is simple to top up, being at the side of the machine and not needing to be pulled out. This may actually prolong the life of the tank's water seal (the Magnifica became very incontinent in its old age!). In fact, you really only need to remove the tank to get access to the brew unit for cleaning. Although the tank is slightly smaller than the Magnifica's, it seems to last just as well, possibly because it doesn't have such a long-drawn-out rinse cycle. The build quality is a step up from the Magnifica's; polished metal drip tray cover and sensibly dark plastic to mask visible staining. Adjusting the grinding of the beans is achieved by rotating an attractive chromed ring at the base of the hopper. The milk frothing carafe works very well, producing a perfect cappuccino as far as my wife is concerned (the true test!). It plugs easily into the water spout aperture, can be stored with any remaining milk in the fridge, and is straightforward to clean when necessary. All in all, it is a worthy replacement for our dear old Magnifica. Important final point: If you like very hot coffee, don't buy this machine; even on its hottest setting, it won't do it for you. Instead, make jug coffee on a hotplate and boil the hell out of it like our American friends do! 3-month update: All good, except for one minor niggle. Being able to store unused milk in the carafe is a good idea, but a gooey dairy-based smegma is apt to form in the bottom of the tube! De Longhi should include a mini cleaning brush (see pic).

Fantastic machine. Took a bit of tweaking to get everything to my taste. Makes great coffee and milk based drinks. No waste and spent Coffee is compostable. Love the interchangeable bean hoppers, so easy to switch to decaf. Went for the extended warranty as a just-in-case.

Fantastic machine, just what I was looking for. Doesn’t take up much counter space and is super easy to use, anyone can make great tasting coffees at the touch of a button. Cleaning and maintenance is a breeze as it tells you to run a rinse cycle after each use. Was worried the coffee wouldn’t be hot enough as my brothers machine produces somewhat lukewarm coffee, however needn’t have worried as the temperature is perfect.

I ordered this machine, the coffees were not strong in flavour despite being on strongest grind setting. I found Delonghi YouTube videos on set up and cleaning very helpful., and easy to follow. the machine needs integral part removed after set amount of coffees, the release buttons worked but mechanism would not release. Maybe I was unlucky to have a faulty machine. I did try contacting Drlinghi sent emails never got a reply and they don’t have a call centre to phone only email for contact. Based on it faulty Returned machine on 23rd December and I still have no refund from Amazon! I won’t buy Delonghi again and unlikely I will ever purchase a high cost item through Amazon in future based on this experience.

Great machine, a bit pricey and mine seems to be very sensitive with the drip tray. I love being able to change to decaf in the afternoon

Makes amazingly fresh and rich coffee every time. The grinder works smoothly and the machine is easy to use. Great quality and totally worth it.

Rien a dire, de très bonne qualité et esthétique vraiment très agréable se mari vraiment bien dans ma cuisine sans faire tâche, plusieurs fonctionnalités pour les cafés c'est vraiment trop bien je peux me faire vraiment plaisir

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Die Rivelia Vollautomatische Kaffeemaschine hat mich wirklich überzeugt. Der Kaffee schmeckt ausgezeichnet – aromatisch, kräftig und je nach Einstellung genau so, wie man ihn gerne hat. Die Möglichkeit, sowohl die Bohnenstärke als auch die Wassermenge individuell einzustellen, finde ich besonders gelungen. Ein echtes Highlight sind die zwei Bohnenbehälter. So kann ich problemlos zwischen entkoffeinierten Bohnen und Arabica wechseln, ohne etwas umfüllen zu müssen – praktisch und zeitsparend! Die Bedienung ist einfach und intuitiv, auch für jemanden, der nicht so technikaffin ist. Die Maschine läuft angenehm leise für einen Vollautomaten, und die Reinigung ist unkompliziert. Das automatische Spülprogramm macht vieles von selbst, und die herausnehmbare Brühgruppe lässt sich schnell reinigen. Optisch wirkt die Maschine modern und hochwertig, und sie passt perfekt in meine Küche. Für mich bietet sie ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und ist ideal für alle, die Wert auf guten Kaffee und Flexibilität legen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

It's a give a perfect coffee that I want and very easy to maintain - loved it

La verdad que funciona a la perfección, la configuración inicial fue super sencilla pero super buena, te trae hasta una tira para ver la dureza del agua de casa para poder configurar la cafetera. Luego la pantalla es super intuitiva y fácil y accesible a cualquiera. Por otro lado, las bebidas salen todas perfectas y con un sabor increíble, es verdad, que la calidad del café influye mucho pero sale el café perfecto. La única pega que tiene, que para mi no lo es pero lo habia leido en comentarios y me ocurre de vez en cuando y es que el sensor de la bandeja de los posos falla alguna vez y te dice que esta lleno pero no lo está, simplemente es sacar un pelin volverlo a poner y a funcionar. Por último, una de las cosas por la que dudaba era porque tuviera el molinillo mas al exterior por el ruido porque yo tomo café a las 6am pero para nada es muy ruidoso, me recomendaron De'Longhi porque hacia menos ruido y estaban en lo cierto. Sin duda muy contento con la compra

Vous donne Vraiment un bon cafe meilleur que notre ancienne grosse machine delonghi .. à 900€ en 2015 et qui devait être réparée pour 200€ après 28.000 cafés .. pas de regret d’avoir acheté la rivelia avec réservoir pour lait pour 670€ .. donne des cappuccino incroyables Peut faire 2 expresso à la x Mais pas 2 gd café à la x … juste ça qui est dommage
