I bought this set for my boyfriend as a gift and he absolutely loves it!!!! He was beyond excited to use it. The quality of the entire set was very impressive. This infusion set is an absolute must have for whiskey lovers. The instructions and recipe cards that are included made it super easy since we are both first time infusers. Will definitely be buying this set again in the future.

The media could not be loaded. From the moment you see the packaging of this Algate Whiskey Infusion Kit you know it’s gonna impress! Each item was well thought out and it is a complete kit to help even a novice become a whiskey infusion master. There is a recipe guide and a well selected assortment of flavor enhancing vials with herbs, wood chips, coffee beans, dark chocolate and others to chose from. The vials are glass with metal screw caps to keep the ingredients fresh. There is an expiration date printed on the bottom on the box to make sure it is fresh and will last a long time. There are two cut glass whiskey decanters with lids so you can transfer your infused whiskey into the empty decanter while using the metal strainer/funnel or if you you prefer there are also paper filters. The set also includes a whiskey glass, metal tweezers and scoop as well as a square large ice mold (for 2 cubes) The final item are a set of tags so you can record your infusion recipe and place it on the decanter with a gold string. An incredible kit and one any whiskey enthusiast would be thrilled to have. I would definitely recommend this and feel it is gift worthy.

Bought for my husband for Christmas and he LOVES it! Has been infusing for the past 2 months and the flavors are yum! He is having the best time experimenting! A complete set with lots of flavorings!

My boyfriend is an excellent novice bartender. He really makes some fascinating stuff and is always looking for new techniques or ways to make artisan drinks. This is right up his alley. Granted, it's for whiskey and I am a wussy baby who only drinks clear spirits, but he loves playing around with this thing and customizing his infusions. It came with everything he needs to play around, which is nicer than the bitters making kit I got him once that required me to also buy additional things I don't know about.This kit is complete and if you gifted it with a nice bottle of whiskey, I think it would be a phenomenal gift. In fact, now my boyfriend can use to make gifts for others, which he loves doing, and it is set up so he can do that as well! Just need to get some gift size bottles for him to give out (which we have as he makes a custom spirit or cocktail base every holiday). Such a neat idea, especially if you know someone who likes whiskey but you're not well-versed in whiskey/booze.

This Do It Yourself (DIY) whiskey infusion kit has everything you need, other than the base whiskey, to make some fun and tasty concoctions. I gave this to my Husband for our anniversary and he was surprised and really impressed with the kit. It comes nicely packaged and ready for gift giving. We’ve never done any whiskey infusions before and will have fun experimenting with this. There are 12 different botanicals to work with and some recipes along with all of the equipment needed.The instructions have very small print, and we had to use a magnifying glass to read them. I took a picture of it with my phone, so we were able to blow it up to read it easier. See attached photo and zoom in to read it. That took one star off for us. It says there are 4 wood chip flavors to use as a base. I looked at each one to identify which ones were wood chips as they weren’t labeled as such. Tropical Coconut, American Dream, American Sweetheart, and Dark Chocolate. The one that surprised me was the dark chocolate as I didn’t realize it was wood chips until I took a piece out. Now that we know we are going to start with dark chocolate wood chips and infuse the whiskey for up to 48 hours. We will do as suggested and periodically taste the whiskey to ensure we don’t overpower the concoction. The plan after that is to add coffee beans and infuse them for a while. My Husband loves chocolate and coffee, so this is a fun one to start with. We will use one of the enclosed cards to label it for future reference.I will update my review after we complete our first infusion.
