Youper Adult Padded Chest Protector Shirt, Heart-Guard/Sternum Protection for Baseball, Football, Lacrosse & Goalies

Bought this for my huge 8 year old who is almost 5 feet tall and 135 lbs. Wears adult large shirts, so we got adult large for him. This shirt fit well and even did well when washed. We do not dry these "pop it" shirts as they ruin the bumps.

Not like compression so if you want that effect order size smaller. As a catcher it is comfortable under gear as well.

This sleeveless shirt is made from a very high quality fabric, both sleek and tough. The shirt looks great.The padded sternum section has bumps that are super springy and resilient, again highest quality. The springy material reminds me of memory foam but stronger. It certainly diminishes impacts in the sternum area. The coverage is roughly nipple to nipple. I'm not sure why the impact foam doesn't cover a larger area which to me would make sense.Altogether this is a top quality shirt that is rugged and looks great. At currently $25 it seems quite reasonably priced given the quality.

This is a good chest protector- my sons wear this for little league baseball. It runs a bit small but should be fitted anyway for under uniform so recommend ordering your regular size. It’s got a good size protector pad

Fits as expected and is very comfortable. I've put it on and forgotten I'm wearing it, for hours after I could've shed it.The chest padding area isn't so useful to me, for *catching footballs*. First, we should be catching with cleanly our hands and not our bodies, and secondly, when my rec league QB zips the ball in hard and fast, those tend to favor one side (pec), and not the hollow of the chest, dead center, where this shirt's primary coverage is.However, as a big guy (6'2", over 200lbs) who *constantly* gets chucked and "arm checked" across the chest while I'm running routes against slightly smaller opponents, I definitely appreciate the padding when I'm getting fouled repetitively.Very happy to have this piece of gameday gear.

Bought for my son for baseball. He has had other chest protectors and this ended up being his favorite. He said it's comfortable and fits well. He's played in it several times and feels confident getting in front of a ball when playing infield. The protection seems to work. It's not a plastic shield, but the puffy design on the chest seems to be able to absorb the impact differently. He also wears it playing catcher. I'd recommend it. My son got hit in his chest once on a really awkward play in left outfield. It hit him hard enough that he went down and was down for a few minutes. The coaches went running out and were really concerned because the hit occurred just after that Pro Football player got hit in his chest, at just the right time, to trigger a heart attack. So it was fresh in the minds of the coaches and my son was having trouble breathing. I ordered this as a way to protect my son, but also to set his mind at ease. I would be more concerned with any impact to his cardiac function as an infielder, but he uses it to play outfield as well since that's where his incident occurred. He loves it, it's comfortable and fits well with his Jersey. He's 12yo, and not huge, but definitely tall and bulky for his age (typical large athletic build). Puts his mind at ease, puts my mind at ease, and the coaches have asked that all players start wearing these just in case. Great value.

This is the best chest protector that my daughter has ever had. Much better quality than the regular shirts we get from the local sporting goods store. Couldn't be happier.
