Nice adapter
I am using this with a Dell E7440, an Anker 67W USB charger, and a 60W capable USB-C cable. The adapter is well made and it provides a full power charge to my laptop. The adapter's blue LED will illuminate when powering the laptop or charging the battery and it will flash when the laptop is off and the battery is fully charged. The adapter always reports a 90W charging source to my laptop's BIOS regardless of the power of the USB charger in use. Make sure you are using a USB charger with enough power for your laptop.

Works in general
I’m using this with a 17-18 alienware 15 r 3, plug fit great into the laptop. Also charging at my expected setup (100 watt) this laptop is a 180 watt unit but wanted to have the ability to charge and get rid of the large ac adapter ( my gaming on the go relies on battery, but you know the deal,if you want optimal you always use the ac adapter).Setup uses this adapter,a 100 watt usb c (with wattage readout) and a 100 watt 26800 mwh battery bank(9600wh) in laptop terms.

Upfitting my Dell Inspiron from 2016
Works perfectly for my aging Inspiron to integrate it with all my other USB C stuff. I had a spare laptop USBC charger laying around that I used for this and it works well. Phone wall chargers do not work of course, not even my most powerful, so caveat emptor.
