Acctim Robyn Mini Bedside Alarm Clock Grey

Wanted something small for bedside, not too loud on the ticking and something have an alarm on to reduce the temptation of using a mobile phone...alarm starts pretty quiet and gets louder. Good all round.

Exactly what I wanted

I have the jam version of this alarm clock, which is a fun shade of bright red. The clock looks nice and seems sturdy and well made. It works fine and is easy to set. The buttons and dials are all easy to use.It needs one AA battery, which isn't included. The light work well and dimly illuminates whole face from top right. The alarm has a standard beeping tone. The snooze/light button works fine to snooze the alarm.I felt the battery compartment was a bit fiddly to get off, as you need the right angle. Putting in and taking out the battery was also a bit stiff and fiddly, which felt a bit frustrating. The clock itself works fine though. At £14.95 I think it feels a bit on the expensive side.I like this clock overall and would recommend it if you're looking for a cute little clock and don't mind the issues with the battery section mentioned above.

Nicely designed clock, understated and classic look, but in a nice bright red colour. Quiet - but not silent - operation and a good loud alarm. Needs 1 AA battery. Great product, very happy.

The media could not be loaded. The is a cute little alarm clock with thick black hands which are easy to read and is easy to operate (paid £14.95 in Oct 2023). The clock is just under 3" square and 1.5" wide. It needs 1xAA battery (not supplied) and as the other review said, it was slightly fiddly to get the battery compartment off but nothing too bad.If you want a completely silent clock, don't buy this one as it does make a quiet ticking sound which you will be able to hear in a quiet bedroom. During the day I can't really hear it due to background noise and I wear earplugs at night so the ticking wasn't actually bothering me (although it does seem to vary from being barely noticeable to much more audible). The light isn't too bright so won't wake you up if you use it as night, but still let's you see the clock face.As the video shows, the alarm makes a beeping noise which gets more frequent at 8 seconds, gets louder at 16 seconds, then gets even more frequent at 24 seconds. It stays constantly beeping until you turn it off (or you can snooze it with the snooze/light button). It wakes me up with my earplugs in but I don't know if it would wake up really heavy sleepers who are dead to the world.Also, please be aware that 'Designed in Britain' that Acctim like to quote everywhere does not actually mean it was made/manufactured in Britain. It says 'Made in China' in small writing on the bottom of the box. Sneaky.And for some reason the box of mine looked scratched when I got it. I probably wouldn't buy again.EDITED TO ADD - I have had to return this clock as the ticking was very inconsistent. Sometimes it was barely audible, sometimes it was loud. Sometimes it was loud for the first 30 seconds of a minute and then quiet for the other half and then sometimes it was audible every other tick! I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't recorded it! I could deal with it ticking quietly but not this random inconsistent distracting ticking so I had to send it back for a refund. Not recommended.
