A very limited Cold War experience that is poor value.
When I first saw CWC I was full of great expectation. Lets get straight to the point here. I was thinking , great, sudden strike in Vietnam or a hypothetical modern war between the old rivals of NATO and the Warsaw Pact. I had spotted the game for sale at £29.99 in my local game store, so at that price I had good cause to expect the most. Downloading the demo I was more than suprised to find only two conflicts, Korea and the Arab-Israeli wars. Worst still, the Korean war has very few missions. The Arab side of the other conflict, the Egyptians, have only 5 missions. Playing Israel you get a massive 17 missions. No Vietnam, no Falklands, no hypothetical battles in Germany, no Suez Canal, no Kashmir and so on. Essentially this a game of the Arab-Israeli war, mostly from an Israeli perspective. It should be titled, "Israel's War". A cynical side of me believes they deliberatly left out Vietnam for an expansion. If so, bearing in mind the price, this is a disgrace. Playing the demo, the Egyptian assault across the Suez shows what a good game this could have been. I found the other missions boring. Although I'm not sure about its historical accuracy, this mission has a good mix of jets, amphibious tanks, crushing artillery strikes and so on. A missed opporunity for what could have been an exciting game.

What a Game!
This game is awesome, can wait to get me hands on it. I have been following it through the development stages, it has everything we wished Sudden Strike had and bucketloads more. It covers the years of the cold war, conflicts such as Korea, the Middle East and more. You control not only ground troops, their amour, rocket artillery, long range and short range artillery and much more. You also get to control, fighter planes, bombers, cargo planes, attack helicopters, transport and cargo helicopters, landing crafts, PT boats and much much more. There is so much much more to this game game, buy it now you wont be disappointed.

Dont Buy
I bought it 3 months after it first came out. It badly needs a patch. They said the patch would be out next week, then next week, etc. To date its never come out - admission its too buggy and was an abandoned project (designers words 8 months after launch date - now defunct). Typical bugs;- soldier in house drops into cellar and can only be killed by flame thrower, no flame throwers available - available in multiplayer only. Tank rush where you are completely swamped by massive superior forces within 15 seconds of level start. Bombers bomb you ammo within 1 sec. of level start, you run out of ammo within 1 min. with no chance of resupply. Troop reinforcements come into game straight into massive a minefield with no mine clearers and you get picked off by hidden enemy guns. Enemy cannot be seen when it has height advantage but they can always see you regardless. 5 difficulty levels, level 2 too easy, level 3 virtually impossible. God mode available to complete levels. Troops get carried forward to next level, each level to be completed before advancement - total opposing force annihilation (no enemy left).

Can't wait for this.........
Loving the first SS, and being a little disappointed with the second, I am really excited about Cold War Conflicts. From what I have read and heard in many magazines and sites, this is promising to be the best installment so far! The amount of units and missions to come with the game is excellent and I'm sure it's not going to disappoint all die hard strategy fans!! Bring it on!!!!!

Stolen source code
This game is basically the old sudden strike 2 engine with a few modifications being released by a company that has nothing to do with Fireglow or CDV who are responsible for the rest of the genre - don't waste your money - it has no right to call itself Sudden Strike3 - it is same as a developer stealing the Call of Duy source code, making his own guns for it and releasing it as Call of Duty 2, download one of the fantastic mods for Sudden Strike 2 that are already available and have thriving communities - If you want to stick with WW2 try RWM6.31 or SSNM and there are other mods, all with lots of players that reflect many different time periods - all for free with better graphics, many many more units and constant support from the guys who make the mods in their own free time.

OH YESSSS
Just played the demo and can tell you that this is incredible! truly fantastic game! you get to fight in the Korea War, Isreal-Arab War and more. The publishers have posted the number of units on their site and it is amazing, loads of units: US, China, Russia, North Korea, Syria just to name a few. The multiplayer is also incredible.

Waste of money
When I played the demo I thought they would improve CWC when the game came out. This game is a big disappointment. The game gets glitchy at points, the English version speaks Russian at times :) The intro movie does not exsist even.Do not waste your money on this product T wish I read the reviews beforehand. BIG let down. And if you want support for the game it does not exist.
