I encourage people to research the process of hair dying with henna on YouTube. If you just use the henna your hair will be Bozo the Clown Orange. It is necessary to follow up with a second herb, indigo, (which can be bought from the same company) in order to turn the hair black. From what I understand if you leave the Indigo in for less time than an hour the red will be turned to Brown but I have not tried that yet. It took a little while to figure it all out. But once I did I was quite pleased with the results. My hair was completely White beforehand and now it is black and shiny and I love it! Deserves cover the gray completely and they can be used more often than regular hair dye and don't have the chemicals that cause cancer. Now that I'm used to the process it's easy peasy. Very satisfied with this product

I used this product on medium blond hair. First, I mixed henna 70% + indigo 30% with black coffee and let it set for 8 hours. Applied it to dry hair and left it on my hair for 2 hours. Rinsed with water only. Next day I have mixed 75% indigo + 25% henna and mixed it with warm water. Let it set for 8 hours. Applied all over hair and waited just 1 hour. Washed out with water. No stains on my skin and the result is lovely, slightly ashy and very shiny!
