Light and useful, really good and practical
Small and light but big enough to serve its purpose. The image is great and it has night-time vision that works without any problem. Audio has a very small delay but it also woks very well. Battery dies quickly which is logical due to the video but the pack comes with a universal charger, which is great, specially for us, since we live in Ireland but fly a lot within Europe. I personally really like the design of it.Really good price-quality relation.

Very good product although a couple of minor gripes
Overall I think this is quite good for the money they charge. The picture, whilst small is quite clear and of good quality. The IR night vision works well also. I found the menu system a little awkward to use and getting all the settings done was not terribly intuitive - it's easy to exit a screen you're trying to alter when you're trying to change a setting. That said its not a big negative as once you've got it set up you will probably leave it as it is. You can set the camera to always on or to respond to noise and there's three levels of sensitivity. I found the middle setting to be about right for us - activating for cries but not murmurs or when baby shuffles in their bed.A pro for some, a negative for me was the plug system. I get the impression these are manufactured in Europe - the handset and camera both use 2 pin plugs, which then plug into converters which have functionality for the UK 3 pin system or the European 2 pin system. For me these felt a little tacky, the plastic on the third pin is quite bendy and feels like it could damage fairly easily. Also you unlock the side you want, extend the pins, then lock it again - when I initially used it I didn't realise you needed to re-lock it and found the pins retracting when trying to plug it in. Would much prefer a simple uk plug system. Also the adaptors have lights on them to indicate they are plugged in and receiving power - I don't like this as I like to have the room blacked out at night but some may appreciate the feature and it's easily remedied with a bit of tape.Another point is the camera has a little light on the front to tell you it is on - for me, this is an annoyance and I have covered it with thick tape as it was distracting my toddler. Again not a big deal but more of a hindrance than a help.Overall though the negatives are all fairly minor and should not detract from the fact this item works well for half the cost of some similar products.

Good video, terrible sounds and speaker
Very basic baby monitor. Worked for one day before breaking. I am rating it however as if it didn't break as I may have just been unfortunate to receive a dodgy one. When it did work the video camera was actually fine. Image quality was good enough for what you need. Sound and speaker however was terrible. When using the talk function it echoes and doesn't sound clear. The 8 lullabies wernt actually lullabies. It played 10 second clips of songs including jingle bells, classical music and phantom of the Opera. The songs were too loud and you can't adjust the volume in baby's room. The quality of sound can be compared to an ice cream van! This makes it an unusable function. There is a lot of static/buzzing over the speaker which makes it impossible to hear if baby is breathing. Temperature reading was fine and battery life when not plugged into main was actually better than expected. There are too many lights, which can't be turned off and were making the room too bright so had to be covered up with tape. The video screen constantly remains on which was too bright at night despite having a dimmer function. After a day the buzzing became too loud to hear over the speaker at all, which made the item simply a live video with no sound. Useless as a baby monitor. The connection was good though and never dropped out. The sales company was quick to reply to my refund request and were a pleasure to deal with. So 5 stars for them. Just wish the product was as good as they were

Great monitor for very reasonable price
Great monitor for very reasonable price! The plug in my opinion is genius, can be used almost anywhere in the world without the need for an adaptor. Great image day and night, clear sound and easy to use. Overall very happy.

Only one drawback
This monitor is great to use with one flaw. Very quick to arrive, well packaged and easy to set up. On trying this out, I achieved a good signal even n my back garden. The sounds are picked up clearly and the infrared feature is excellent. My biggest problem is the battery life. I have to plug the parent unit every few hours to charge up. If this can be sorted, I think we have an excellent product at very reasonable prices.

Crackles and pops constantly, and the image freezes on a regular basis
Crackles and pops constantly, and the image freezes on a regular basis. The first time it froze my poor daughter (a young 2) spent about 30 minutes alone in her room before we realised. Also there's no warning for when the battery is getting low (ours lasts about 45-60 mins without power). When it runs out it just goes off with no warning.
