Walking Stick + Morel Mushroom Hunting Stick + Hand Carved Morel + Custom Height Staff

Before the purchase, I used the "Contact me with general inquiries" or the "Ask about a custom order." (I can't remember which.). I had specific needs but the reply said something to the effect that the messaging was an Amazon service and that the email would be forwarded to the seller. I assumed that would be the beginning of a long wait, but no! I had a reply from the seller in just an hour or two! The morel-mushroom-topped walking stick was shipped in about 2 days. From first correspondence to arrival was only 4 days.The stick itself is very sturdy but not too heavy for my arthritic hands. The carving is fantastic and my particular requests were filled perfectly (including exact placement of the loop from the top). With lots of handling in a woodsy setting, I expect the mushroom to take on a bit of natural staining--which will only highlight the carving's details. I found the overall quality and my satisfaction, well worth the price.By the time the holiday season rolls near, I am sure this seller will have lots of orders and won't be able to get products out as quickly as I received mine. So, if you think you might want to order one, don't hesitate. And, if you order one that you find is taller than you decide works for you, you can remove the rubber "foot," cut a piece from the bottom of the stick, and replace the rubber. And no, I don't know this seller in spite of the glowing review I'm giving!

The review form asks me to rate how warm this walking stick is. Warmth? Really? I guess Amazon doesn't have a more appropriate rating category. Moving on...This hickory hiking staff/walking stick is very sturdy and nicely carved to resemble a morel mushroom on the head, as the ad says, and in real life it is quite handsome, arty without being too flashy. The maker has smoothed and left the natural bumps and ridges to form a better hand grip in the area below the head and added a leather loop to help. The stick is inexpensive and affordable compared to his fancier products, yet every bit as nice.I bought this after having triple bypass surgery in 2019 to aid my recovery and it's been one of the best things I've done for myself. Now I'm up to hiking two hours every other day in the county nature reserve and its bike path near my home without pain or impaired breathing. It's also a major help getting safely up or down, either a sloped trail or just kneeling and rising. I highly recommend this to anyone in similar straits just as soon as your doctor clears you. You won't regret; just take it slow and careful at first.

This is a great looking hand crafted morel hicking stick. I bought this for my husband who loves to hunt morels. I know this will be the perfect thing for him to take on all his hikes. These hand crafted hicking sticks are beautiful and I love the different colors on it.

I was amazed at its stickness. This wood stick is just the wood stick I’ve been looking for. Clearly cut from a single stick tree. It’s magical properties are superb. I can use it to curse children for running or horseplay knowing their souls are damned for eternity. It has a rubber foot that can interfere with the lightning bolts that emanate from the tip. But ... safety first. It’s 60” length is perfect for apokin’ and aproddin’ at a safe distance.

This is a beautifully crafted staff. Came earlier than expected. Length as advertised. Sweet gum hardwood should be strong enough not to break, but my staff doesn't feel super sturdy. It does have bend to it but has supported me well on the hikes I've used it so far. Just don't go whacking at snakes or critters with it and it should last.
