Love this hairdressing I’m african american lady that has wavy/curly hair. I have never had a perm or relaxer/texturizer or any harsh chemicals on my hair to straighten or manage it I straighten with in past at salons hot combs or since late 90s I do flat irons curlers etc Well what I love for years I have a more soft texture fine hair I can wash or wet my hair and Even if I straighten it I use this on my edges anything else besides beeswax dax murrays have not lasted this lasts all day I on the edges and/or helps me lay my hair down I don’t wear my hair out only

I been using Dax for the past 15 years the best product i use for my 360 waves and will never change it got hard to find in store and just recently found it here on Amazon. The quality is the best nice thickness and holds my hair the best. The texture is a waxy but once you rub it in it is in! Nice scent too

I'm gonna save you some time. If you have thick hair, this is your pomade. If you have short hair, this is your pomade. If you have long hair, this is your pomade. If you have thin hair and you're going bald, this is not your pomade - shave your head. Looking for that perfect pomade for my longer thick hair, I started with Dax Wave & Groom. Then I moved on to water-based pomades that shall remain nameless. Then I tried other traditional pomades. Then I ended up at... Dax Wave & Groom. I have NOT tried all the pomades out there and I don't intend too. But I've tried enough to get a sense of what's available. Nothing has come close to Dax Wave & Groom. Dax Wave & Groom has a pleasant, but subtle smell and excellent hold, without being waxy. My one complaint is really more of an observation: the container can be a pain to open. The lids fit so tightly that you have to keep turning the can, inching the lid up ever-so-slightly, until finally...POP. Tips based on my experience: You can always add more Dax, but it's tough getting it out, so take your time finding the right dose for your hair. Again, do not expect to simply wash this stuff out. That's not a criticism; that's just good ol' fashioned pomade. There are plenty of tricks out there for removing Dax and other pomades; you'll want to check those out at some point. But keep in mind, that you don't really NEED to get it all out every single day. It seems that the best time to apply Dax Wave & Groom on longer thick hair is right after showering (towel-dried hair). Dry hair with Dax Wave & Groom in it is less-manageable (I'm sure this becomes less-true with shorter hair). Before applying Dax Wave & Groom, put a small amount on your palm and rub your hands together vigorously to soften it. This helps to get a nice even layer. While combing, I recommend periodically dipping your comb in warm water. It will make life easier on you and help to keep more of that hair on your head.

this was ok for me. i do prefer the red. but everyone hast their choice depending on their hair & usage. over all Dax is a very good brand. i would like to know more about others reviews.

Fantastic product! It is a little dense, so I always put it into my hair when it is slightly damp with warm water. I find this makes it go in much easier and looks better. Also, be sure to really rub it between your hands to get it nice and pliable!

For me my main hairstule was fringe I thought it would be impossible or get textures and waves from a pomade since it's for straight and for pompadours etc non the less ill give it a try and yeah it works very well after shower I wood blow dry my hair and shape it then apply Dax. It works very well. I terms of wash it is good for my hair to wash off I only need shampoo and conditioner prior only 3 days and 1 week of shampoo. The smell is soo good. The price is at good which explains the ingredients and where it's importes from. The product hold your hair the best after shower for 2 days eh applied once since a need only a little amount for fringe.

Ich habe einiges an Pomaden durchprobiert und bin nun an dieser hängengeblieben. Eine ölbasierste Pomade, gut in der Anwendung. Sie verleiht dem Haar einen dezenten Glanz. Ich finde da könnte etwas mehr Shine gehen, aber das ist nunmal persönliche Geschmacksssche. Je härter die Pomade ist desto weniger Glanz ist drin, so die Faustregel. Diese Pomade ist fest, aber dennoch kämmbar und keine "Betonfrisur". Auch im Sommer bei Temperaturen über 30° hält sie recht gut ohne zusammenzufallen. Wie bei allen Pomaden muss auch diese bei hohen Temperaturen ihren Tribut zollen, aber es geht. Zum leidigen Thema rauswaschen... tja, es ist eine einigermaßen feste, ölbasierte Pomade. Wenn es sein muss habe ich recht gute Erfahrungen mit den Tiefenreinigungsshampoos diverser Drogerieketten gemacht. Aber auch hier sind zu einer kompletten Reinigung 2-3 Waschgänge erforderlich. Da es aber selten sein muss wird einmal normal gewaschen und dann ergänzend neu aufgetragen. Hier habe ich die besten Ergebnisse erzielt wenn das Haar fast, aber noch nicht ganz trocken ist. Die Konsistenz ist einer festen Pomade entsprechend. Ich verreibe sie in der Hand bis sie weich genug ist um sie leicht im Haar auftragen oder einreiben zu können. Die Reste lassen sich leicht mit Seife von der Hand abwaschen. Der Geruch erinnert mich an eine Kombination aus Vanille, Mandel und Honig. Er ist sehr dezent und auch nicht dauerhaft, auf keinen Fall umgibt einen den ganzen Tag eine "Geruchshaube". Weder im positiven noch negativen Sinne. Der Preis ist wirklich in einem sehr guten Verhältnis zur Leistung. Ganz klar im unteren Preissegment, aber im deutlich gehobenen Qualitätsbereich. Es gibt, aus meiner Sicht, viele deutlich teurere Pomaden die aber bei weitem nicht an die Dax heranreichen. Vielleicht stylischer oder hipper, aber kaum besser. Es hat schon Gründe warum die alten Marken Bestand haben. Ob es die Neuen in 50 oder 100 Jahren noch gibt wird sich zeigen, Dax wird es vermutlich noch sehr lange geben.
