Great fly boots
Great fly boots! They really, truly stay up and in place, and without annoying stays. My boy wears them 24/7 except for grooming and riding time. The great thing about them is that the Velcro extends well around the boot, so they fit even my horse's skinny legs with the Velcro fully engaged all the way. My last fly boots (with stays that kept slipping out, irritating my horse of course) had Velcro that was engaged by only about an inch, the rest of the strap just flapping loose. He's worn these Kensingtons for months now (remember, 24/7) and while they don't look like new, they also show no signs of wear, just some natural wrinkling. My only cavil is I wish they came in solid colors, as I hate plaid, but NBD.

I love these!
They arrived next day and size lg fit my 15'2 Andalusian Mare perfectly.I have been watching her on cam with them, to see if they would fall off or cause her any problems and so far they've been on for 3 days without falling or sliding down or up.They fit just below the fetlock and below the knee. They are loose enough in the middle to allow her to move comfortably. She shows no signs of distress or laying down less at night with them on due to lack of circulation. Her legs aren't hot with them on and she's a black bay. I even rode her back to her stall tonight from the feed room and she doesn't even seem to realize they are on.She has the type of blood flies and mosquitoes just love. She looks much more relaxed in her stall with them on now.I'll post a picture as soon as I can remember to take one!Update:Day 5, the boots started to wrinkle and slide down but in their defense they've been on for 5 days without doing so. Also in their defense, they didn't come off or cause in circulation or swelling from the wrinkling. The velcro has stayed on tight and the fleece about the top and bottom is not too tight but just enough so the bugs don't get in. The netting in between is loose enough that when it does wrinkle down that it won't hurt the horse.I've washed them, the color doesn't bleed so safe for grey horse use and put them out to dry laying flat, we'll see how they are after.

Worked great this summer
These worked well for my pasture boarded horse this past warm season. I got them because he was constantly stomping his front hooves to get the flies off. When I first put them on my gelding, he did the cutest Spanish walk ever! Then he got used to them. haha. They do slip down a little, but they have never fallen off him though. I repositioned the boots every day or every other day - whenever I went out to see him. I found that doing to top and bottom Velcros tight helps keep them in place. Every once in a while I would take them home and wash them in a bucket outside. I have them stored away to use for next year. The black plaid looked really nice on him.

Horse and I love it
I purchased this product because of the quality that comes from the Kensington name, and these fly boots did not disappoint. Cowboy is a Quarter Horse, who is out 24/7 (unless foul weather) with a small herd. He plays, rolls, etc. and the boots stay put. He no longer stomps his feet when the flies are around which is a plus as it saves him from cracked hooves. These boots lasted a complete season and have only a few minor tears. They did begin to slouch toward the end of the season, but did not compromise the protection from the flies. I purchased another pair and am keeping last years as a back up. I would definitely recommend these fly boots.

My go-to fly boots
I've used Kensington fly boots for years. They are durable and stay in place. My only reasons for 4 stars rather than 5 is 1. the price - they are rather pricey compared to other fly boots and 2. wish you could buy them individually - it always seems to be the right boot that needs to be replaced first. I know you could use the left boot on the right but figure there's a reason for right and left . So I'll use right on right and left on left.

Great boots!
Listen boots are essential for some guys during the season. My guy got some terrible summer sores this year and these really helped out keeping the flys off to heal up. These are great, they stay up, but DO NOT make the mistake I did and put them in the washer without strapping the velcro before putting them in the machine. Doing that made them stretch out of place and they were never the same. my bad. Normally I'd hang them on the fence and hose them off, but the one dumb time I put them in the washer I regretted it....just sayin'. Other than that, they're great and I bought more so I would recommend.

Great fly boots!
Great fly boots! Keeps the fly's off my horse's legs. They stay up and on, and wash easy with a hose. I need to watch to make sure they do not rub his legs. Sometimes other people put them on differently than how I put them on, i.e. too tight, or loose, and sometimes a rub forms. I take them off for a day or two to let it heal. I try to not have them on when it is rainy, but don't always get down to the barn to take them off. It was a raining summer (2019). I think I can use them again next summer. I am debating using them verses using the cone type fly boots that seem to work well too. I am at a lesson barn and half the horses use this type and the other half use the cone type. It will come down to the cost.

Does the job!
These Fly boots for horses do a good job and are well made: good quality; velcro keeps them in place; easy to apply to horse's legs. Having said that, experience teaches similar to other applications with horses, the effective use can be problematic over time. For example, the webbing hatch can separate in time, opening opportunity for fly invasion. In general, for this use these are about the best we have found.
